How many motorists would want to take in their VW to be 'fixed' when:
a) There's nothing actually wrong with the cars fuel economy or performance and
b) It will have worse fuel economy and performance once 'fixed' or rather 'neutered' so that it passes emmissions laws.

Gets complicated when thinking off re-coding the Engine computer, because it interacts with the Transmission and Brake computers etc, different codes on each model no doubt
Oops..did I say fire those cheating expert software engineers
Its weird their brand seems so trashed, not like anyone got killed unlike with GM and Toyota (twice)
