VML - Vital Metals

No more pie & peas @barney. Try rock lobster and wine. There's been an uptick in demand for VML last week as seen on the daily chart.

Yes I saw the uptick last week Peter. Still hold a core 1M shares so any progress is appreciated, but the heady days of holding several M are now gone. Also a bit gun shy of purchasing any more just at the moment:shifty: I think there will be a fair bit of toing and froing before any real action starts. Could be wrong of course as it has been heavily oversold.

Currently increased my holding in BCN (minnow Goldie) as my new "great white hope", lol. Slow mover , but stable for a Spec:bookworm:

There's been an uptick in demand for VML last week as seen on the daily chart. I can't buy VML as there's too many shares issued (>5.3 Billion).

I was just about to say I hope you got on @peter2 after the good call above but see you declined due to the SOI.

It is a lot of Shares so a consolidation once they get into production might be on the cards.

The Directors have been stumping up some cash at the lows so I took the punt and bought back a bucket full of the ones I sold on the way down today. Hopefully the upward momentum has some substance.

Sounds interesting @barney I hope mgmt can execute well going forward for VML...

I think you've got your niche in finding small caps that others (including me) don't bother to look at... BCN might be one of those. I may comment on that thread as I don't want to clutter VML thread.

Thanks for the clue though @barney here:xyxthumbs, as I don't find a portfolio thread for your niche finds, whereas I run a couple of portfolios short-term trading and long-term investing.

I got bit excited and bought up before the management restructuring. i am currently sitting on a hefty loss, so im stuck for a while on this one.

Yeah I hope the same re management Aus.

The new Directors buying Stock is good, but probably no guaranteed recommendation because they are getting in at the "near lows". That in itself makes me "mildly cautious" regarding their potential motives :( but I still bought more at 026 today, lol

We cannot assume of course that everything Spec related is a conspiracy .... Or is ito_O:nailbiting::bored::happy:

On the flip side, Lionhead invested a lot at 4 cents to get a hold on the Company and terminate Jeff, so common sense says they are surely not going to throw those multi millions down the gurgler without trying to capitalize on their investment?!

Some other questions come to mind, but we shall see how the SP behaves in the short/medium term before going down any unnecessary rabbit holes. :)

Yeah, annoying @spratty84 I hope the paper loss is not too severe?!

I won't divulge my own "paper loss" by hanging on too long with VML on the way down (my own fault, and zero complaints on my behalf!)

It may make your eyes water though, lolo_O ...... So I do understand your pain!

Definitely not a recommendation, but if the new management are legit, the SP should be back above 4 cents in around 12 months time when their "production predictions" become factual and future revenues become a reality. The market will reward that handsomely if it comes to fruition, and the eventual SP ... who knows.

Basically we are all relying on Lionhead to be fair dinkum!

I can see your reasoning for taking another bite. Share price has fallen a lot and Market Cap for VML has shrunk.

If some goals can be kicked towards generating good cashflows and making profits, price could head back higher. Don't forget VML is tiny compared to market leader LYC and with the recent surge in ARU share price to new high's taking its Market Cap to join the $b club.

VML gets a bit of a mention by the territory’s Industry, Tourism and Investment minister Caroline Wawzonek. This is it @barney strap yourself in, well maybe, maybe not. ?

The territory, perhaps best known for its initial gold rush of the 1800s and subsequent rich diamond-bearing kimberlite discoveries, is once again welcoming mineral explorers and miners with renewed vigour, Wawzonek told The Northern Miner in late January.
“We’re welcoming everybody to the table. A lot of what is at the advanced stages now are projects explored and staked 20, 30, 40, and even 50 years ago. I was just talking with some folks doing some lithium work now, and they’re on a claim that was staked 30 years ago,” the minister says.
“It’s only now that the markets, the demand and the technology are such that they can actually go and explore it. So, what I think is great for us is that timing is coming together.”
She said the territory was excited about the progress Australia-based Vital Metals (ASX: V.M.L.; US-OTC: VTMXF) has made at its demonstration mining-stage Nechalacho rare earths deposit. As the territory prepares for an influx of exploration interest, the minister urges a change to the prevailing narrative about the North being far away and expensive. That was a story 20 years ago.
The minister suggests that thinking ignores the realities of the industry, where there is now more attention being paid to critical minerals and metals, for instance, and a lot more innovation for exploration and new technology available for extraction.

Thanks for that Homer. The Chart has also certainly improved a bit from those recent lows.

Shaken .... And now 1.7c

Only hold a core of these now but still not enjoying the slide.

I think it will have its day in the sun, but probably when Lionhead have milked all the weak hands from the equation. (cynical but likely true)

Specs = Timing and/or patience (patience is when you get the timing wrong:oops:.)

Personally, my timing has been way off in the last 12 months!

Such a shame.

May not recover given Tesla's pivot from rare earth's, particularly given a tightened credit environment.
You may well be right @waterbottle

I'm definitely nowhere near as confident in the longevity of the Company since the LH "takeover".

But I will hold my handful of Shares in the short term and re-assess when things change further.

On the flipside ... Big Volume shakedowns are often followed by quick rebounds??

Lets see what the SP does over the next couple of days. :cautious:

Tesla is pivoting away from rare earths, that doesn't mean rare earth motors aren't in fashion, it is just Tesla is after reducing the bottom line. :2twocents

Don't be hard on yourself, you had good reasoning and IMO it is yet to be proven wrong.:2twocents

In TH, requests a trading halt under Listing Rule 17.1 from the ASX effective immediately, pending the release of an announcement concerning a strategic review of the Saskatoon Plant.
Mmmm ... not sure if this sounds too good.

Hopefully "strategic review" doesn't mean "The current plan is pretty dodgy so we have to try and fix it"

I'll restrain my potential skepticism until after the Announcement. :shifty:

Sad. So much potential.

I hope they've been offered a takeover bid for the sake of those still holding.

Yes indeed
I hope they've been offered a takeover bid for the sake of those still holding.
It's been a lesson indeed.
As soon as the founding directors were ousted,it has been generally been downhill.

Looking in from a distance, and having partially read their announcement, it's almost as if they want to destroy shareholder value for self gain.
Of course, that is just an opinion and probably fiction.
Disclaimer, I'm an incompetent fool, not legally sane, bit like some Directors. ?
