So the U.S should stay there, against a Countries request?Except that Russia and Iran will step into Iraq to extend their regional interests.
That is not in the US/Western political interests..
?
Then Russia and China took over the World? Wonder how that would work out for our welfare system and climate change?I had a dream last night...
I dreamt that someone, somehow hacked into the controls of the US drone fleet and redirected a drone to a US asset and blew it to kingdom come.
Very karmic dream.Just wondering how realistic this scenario would be and who could be potentially responsible for it.
The US could easily be a force for good instead of parading their military strength. One view is that Trump is facing an election next year and needs some issues to boost his chances. As I have said before ,the US needs to talk to Israel properly and try to get an accommodation with others. Then Russia and China took over the World? Wonder how that would work out for our welfare system and climate change?
Your dream, kind of re inforces the old saying, be carefull what you wish for.
But as with most dreams, they don't go to their conclusion, just to the point you want it to stop.
Good result for the Iranian rulers.
They were having internal troubles as the people tried to moderate the Government.
Now the people are having huge patriotic rallies.
You won't see the ABC or CNN report this....
A GROUP OF IRANIANS CAME TO THE US EMBASSY IN BERLIN TO THANK THE UNITED STATES FOR THE KILLING OF GENERAL SOLEIMANI.
A group of Iranians came to the US embassy in Berlin to thank the United States for the assassination of General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Qassem Soleimani. This was reported by the Twitter account of the diplomatic mission of the country in Germany.
According to the embassy, the meeting took place on January 6, three days after information appeared on the death of an Iranian general. “[US Ambassador to Germany Richard] Grenell received from the Iranians gratitude notes and hand-made signs supporting US actions,” the statement said.
An Iranian-born activist living in Germany, Nila Behzadi, confirmed the meeting. She noted that the messages transmitted to the embassy contain words in support of the actions of President Donald Trump “in the fight against the Iranian terrorist regime”.
Grenell has publicly advocated U.S. action on Soleimani. In an interview with the German edition of Bild, the ambassador also noted that he “receives a bunch of emails from Iranians from the USA, Europe and Iran.” According to him, they thank America for the operation, but do not speak out in public, as they are afraid to be arrested for expressing opinions on social networks.
After the Vietnam war those that were on the wrong side,or the losers, railed against the victors. One of my friends had Ukrainian parents, and if you know the history of the Ukraine you can understaActually seen plenty of coverage reported by Iranians outside of the country say how he was hated and feared much as a lot of the regime hardly a secret.
Mind you come to Australia saying that and you get locked up on Manus for ever.
I read a novel a couple years ago by James Clavell "Whirlwind" It is about a contract helicopter company working in Iran at the time of the revolution.A good historical rendition of the times. If one was a financier or money lender at the time your days were short. They went from one extreme with the Shah to the other under the mullahs.Anyway it is understandable that there would be protests from Iranian expats in Berlin.I am always impressed by the amount of research that goes into books like that.I must reread that book. That is one of benefits of getting old-you forget what you read and it saves seeking out new reading material.Everything old is new again!Actually seen plenty of coverage reported by Iranians outside of the country say how he was hated and feared much as a lot of the regime hardly a secret.
Mind you come to Australia saying that and you get locked up on Manus for ever.
I thought I was the only one like that, I know with a lot of movies after a year or so I can't remember if I had watched it, then when it gets to about 3/4 way through I bloody well remember it..That is one of benefits of getting old-you forget what you read and it saves seeking out new reading material.Everything old is new again!
