christianity and the islamic world really havent made much friendly progress
since the crusades have they, down with the infidel and what have you.
We have made much progress.
We now use much more civilised methods to slay our enemies.
No more hand to hand massacres. Just nice, clean, "surgical strikes" - often by un-manned robot drones. Obviously, our modern civilised nations have heeded the wonderful advances Herr Hitler made with his V1 and V2 un-manned bombs. No need to lose a single soldier in the field of battle now.
What more could you want?
Surely not peace?
I reckon you hit it in one CabSav...Is this GW Bush firing a parting shot? Will this take attention away from their financial mess? I give up.
attacks highlight one fact above all others. It is that, seven years after 9/11, the pursuit of Osama Bin Laden is a failure. That is the real conclusion to draw from these two attacks. Seven years of striding around the world as if he owned it, club in hand like some primeval caveman, President Bush has no more defeated Al-Qaeda than when it first attacked.
We have improved our weapons, but still have to engage in actual close quarter combat if we want to hold ground. Just ask any Infantry soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Typical, as long as it's far enough away from home , why should it bother anyone ??
So it's alright to be just as wrong as those opposite ??
Ahh ! why bother---- morons everywhere.
This war in Iraq and Afghanistan is increasingly serious and sad in many respects. If leaders hide or stay with children and their mothers, as wrong as it is, this is war.
Good points Snake.
Would we be happy with any country at our border assisting in the transfer of weapons and personnel to fight against us?
Does national sovereignty cover the tacit assitance of mititias?
Is Syria and the new Iraq a signatory to the conventions of the Red Cross anyway?
Hmmm
It is all about OIL and getting hold of resources, all this blame of poverty and human rights is a load of bullsh*t.
Is it possible this 'human shield' argument is just a cop out and excuse for incompetence, at the same time as being a counter-propaganda tactic? It is possible that human shield is premeditated tactic, with guarantee that reporters will plaster it all over the world.
If true, in effect cheap and effective propaganda, if not true than optimists can describe it as collateral damage.
How do you know that the Syrian government is assisting in any way ?No doubt the US administration says that.
Once you get a name as practised, abiding liars like the Bush administration..your credibility is zilch.
Do you think that the Mexican government is facilitating the supply of contraband and illegals across the US border ?
There are actually factions of the military and police fighting each other in Mexico for control of the drug trade.I don't know about Syria, but drug gangs in Mexico keep trying to buy out the local bureacrat, if that doesn't work they eliminate them. It's a problem because of the huge amount of money available which they use to influence.
