Soldiers from 4 helicopters move on building INSIDE Syria killing 8 civilians, including 4 children.
The yanks really know how to win friends & influence.
Is this GW Bush firing a parting shot? Will this take attention away from their financial mess?

Didn't hear what the wanks were trying to achieve, but one thing they have achieved is more recruits for Al Qaeda.

Mebbe Heap Big Chief Burning Bush has figured invading Iran is now a "bridge too far" before he flies the coop and that invading Syria could be a final fun fling? Wouldn't they be a "pushover"?

Who knows what goes on in that strange thing we call his "brain".

I agree, bet it's a last ditch attempt to provoke a retaliation so that more people will vote Republican to "protect" the US. Their version of "children overboard"?

Seems the line is that the man killed was an Iraqi, smuggling people and stuff into Iraq.

View www.therealnews.com - because it deals with FACTS it always gets accused of being 'left-wing' but it is not the case at all. Our media are just the worst government and corporate cheer leaders and will have hit a new low in their coverage of this I bet.

I know they have their problems, but British news (BBC and the Independent) seem to have at least some shred of dealing with the truth and asking some hard questions. Watching US is just an embarrassment.

Some may say "what about international law?"

Others may say "what law supports the sanctuary of terrorists that move into another country?" Or "what law protects the sanctuary of terrorists?"
 
Of Course Syria is going to say it was innocent civilians killed in the attack. They have always been truthful with their reporting before right!!!

They would have been Special Forces who carried out that raid and there is no way they would have just gone in and shot up some innocent civilians.
I can't see how it could be a provocation attack to try and sucker Syria into the war either. The Syria elite are not stupid, as they know if they were to enter a war against the US than they would be finished and would spend the rest of their lives (if they managed to survive) in exile some where.

My take on the situation is this: The insurgents in Syria got a little too comfortable and complacent and that was their downfall. The Americans have sent a clear msg to them now, and they will just have to move further away from the border, but that won't mean they are safe as they can still be targeted with missiles and air strikes. Its the same situation on the Afghan/ Paki border, the US has been targeting Taliban and AQ insurgents for years using Predator and SF.

Would we be happy with any country at our border assisting in the transfer of weapons and personnel to fight against us?

Does national sovereignty cover the tacit assitance of mititias?

Is Syria and the new Iraq a signatory to the conventions of the Red Cross anyway?

My opinion, that whatever the reasons behind this strike, it is a work of diplomatic idiocy and a complete disgrace, positively Machiavellian.

As if it will do anything but stir up more trouble

I don't know how come they not kill these guys when they are inside Iraq? I do believe it is the best way/place to engage them.

Secondly wouldn't the moral thing to do is to ask UN to ask Syria to hand over those miscreants to US or UN for trial? I guess all rational thinking and western principles have been thrown out the window.

I am amazed by the lack of accountability by media or any world court for all these actions.

To me it seems that the movie "wag the dog" is played in real time.

The US cannot seal or protect its own borders...with Mexico or with Canada.
The US motto...No country too far,No crime too great and No cover-up too hard.

Who said the initial invasion of Iraq was just?

However, it is now what it is. And, it is a conflict with teams.....

And, the Georgia situation is obviously different.


Lets all sit back and watch another despot stuck in some 5th century ideology based on a schizophrenics dreams control the values of a population living in poverty. With the sole aim to keep their minds and bodies stuck in the dark ages. An age of; control, persecution, fear, prejudice, sexism, prejudice, and racism. The list goes on….

Won't really have anymore effect on recruit potential, as they already hate the US with a passion.
 
christianity and the islamic world really havent made much friendly progress
since the crusades have they,down with the infidel and what have you.
