He literally did sign a deal that eventually bankrupt the British. I'm sure they didn't pay it off till the mid 2000s
Nevermind SP already wrote it up.
Spot on Wayne, there is zip in it for the West, the EU is the only one with skin in the game and it is them who will determine the fate of Ukraine IMO.Interesting that UK and Europe think they can fight Russia, when they won't even defend their own borders.
I keep asking myself, to what end? All the sovereignty arguments are BS and European boots on the ground will end in a pan European war, if not ww3 outright.
This is not mid 20th century folks and an upscale conflagration would be disaster for the world... over a sliver of land and a few ethnic Russians?
What's in this for us, the West?
Did you actually watch it or just a 4 min media cut?Brits won the war Trump siding with Russia is a problem surely feeding further aggression as for the White House press conference amateurish attempt by Trump and Vance, dealing with a bloke who is in a full on hot war his people dying by the day it was painful to watch

I watched the whole thing and reckon Trump /Vance were well withing their rights to tear Vlod a new one.I agree that the meeting was a train wreck, and that Trum and Vance lost their cool causing everyone a lot of grief. However, I still think that there is a lot more to this story.
Why hasn’t Ukraine held elections since the war began? England had an election in July 1945 while still fighting a war.
Is Zelensky wanting to pay for all the materials given to Ukraine to fight the war, or is he trying to get it all gifted?
Many more questions but I'm waiting to see what happens over the next few days.
I have and still do support Ukraine.

At about 18 minutes and 35 seconds into the meeting, the following question was asked of President Zelensky.Watched most of it Zelensky has stared down Putin WTF were Trump and Vance thinking dumbest thing I have ever seen and then there is the moronic comments on Zelensky should have worn a suit FFS.
Now the UK, EU and Ukraine leaders have had a meeting, as to how the EU will stump up the goods to protect Ukraine, it sounds as though there weren't a lot of options on the table.
Maybe another case of reality catching up with ideology.
Fresh off the press, who knows how accurate it is, time will tell.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters late Sunday that his country is "ready" to sign the US-Ukraine minerals deal.
Mere days after leaving the White House without signing the deal, Zelenskyy said "I just want the Ukrainian position to be heard. We want our partners to remember who the aggressor is in this war."
US access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals was first presented to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent earlier in February.
Washington is asking for a 50% cut of all revenues generated from Ukraine's mineral and natural resources in what US officials have said is payment for previous military support.
According to the deal, Ukraine will contribute the proceeds to a fund, which will then be invested to "promote the safety, security and prosperity of Ukraine."
Zelenskyy has said that the deal must include real security guarantees for Ukraine, and warned against further Russian aggression if these were not put into place.
His comments about the deal came at the end of a two-day summit in the United Kingdom, where UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the UK and France would gather a "coalition of the willing" that would draw up a peace plan for Ukraine.
“We are at a crossroads in history today,” Starmer said.
“This is not a moment for more talk. It’s time to act. Time to step up and lead and to unite around a new plan for a just and enduring peace.”
Zelenskyy's comments about the deal come after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told CBS News that the Ukrainian leader had "thrown off the sequencing" of how the minerals and peace deal were supposed to play out, insisting the discussions should have taken place in private.
It was "impossible to have an economic deal without a peace deal" Bessent said.
Starmer said it was clear that Europe would need to do “the heavy lifting” in the face of a more isolationist America, but added that backing from Trump would be needed.
“We need to deliver together,” Starmer said after the meeting. “We are at a crossroads in history today … the UK is prepared to back this with boots on the ground and planes in the air together with others.”
He said that progress had been made in building a coalition that would commit military assets, including troops on the ground, if Europe were to build a force to deter Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Starmer pushed for a greater contribution from European allies to continent-wide security and announced a new £1.6 billion ($3.42 billion) deal that would allow Ukraine to purchase 5000 air-defence missiles using export finance. Macron later suggested that European countries should raise their defence spending to between 3 and 3.5 per cent of gross domestic product to respond to Trump’s demands.
Did you notice the difference? Agreement made then press release?
Trump did defend his attire. At about 18 minutes and 35 seconds into the meeting, the following question was asked of President Zelensky.
“Why don’t you wear a suit?”
“Do you own a suit?”
“A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the dignity of this office.”
Elon Musk’s attire has clearly escaped the attention of this reporter.
For the record, the reporter that asked that question was Brian Glenn from Real America’s Voice, and Glenn is the boyfriend of U.S Congressional Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.
- a complete stitch up.
Vance shouldn't even have been in the room.
It's like everyone is retarded or something. They are all doing what Trump asked for his first presidency. They won't put troops down unless the US is in there.Yes I noticed, the U.K and EU agreed they need to spend more, on being able to defend themselves? Then they made the press release.

Interesting analogy.Pox Americana
