It is whoever came up with the idea of having a safety cage in the first place, designed it and so on that deserves credit. Needless to say we'll never even hear the name of whoever that was.
I don't know for certain but the unions over the years have probably worked hard to get the safety standards that have helped save these men so they deserve some credit too.

Stan 101 said:Prospector, I for the life of me, cannot understand how in any way, shape, or form a person through circumstance can be a hero?
Heroes go outof their way to help..
How is a guy sitting in a hole(no matter how deep) heping people?
He is unfortunate, he not a hero...
Next the paper will be mentoning Bush as a hero for saving (and killing and mutilating countless) lives in Iraq.
Being in Iraq recently, and heading to Iran next week (On business. I am of true oz and english blood) I am truly disgusted by the papers stating these victims of circumstance are heroes.
This country I must leave...
This is truly the end.

A good manager will be able to broker their story world wide.
After 2 weeks buried alive they deserve it.
