wouldnt the world be a better place if religion could be exactly what it should be a personal belief not a tool for judging.
visual said:perhaps he just missed being in the right place ,perhaps he followed the people who escaped and simply didnt have enough time to catch up to them and the trapped miners just made a different decision.
Prospector said:Ah, but if life or death is that random (and I believe that it is) then what benefit is there in praying, if you are worshipping your god to prevent eternal damnation?
visual said:today on nova Bill Shorten was being interviewed and he was explaining the process about ,drilling the rest of the distance and all that, but then he got to the part where the miners themselves will have to cut themselves out of the cage and my heart sank.

interesting hypothetical scenariobut in that case I would pray for you to be saved because if I was rescued back to the surface I'm sure mrs bullmarket would then kill me anyway for being down a mine shaft with another woman in the first place

There was only one post on this thread that even mentioned that it was a listed company mining gold. The rest of the posts were complaining about the way it was being covered and talking about religion. The only reasons I can think of for you to say we are all greedy pigs is-
a) you are a reporter and were offended by us complaing about your colleagues.
b) you are dirt poor and think that all people interested in money and finance must be dishonest and greedy
c) you were smoking crack when you wrote this post
So which is it?

You have, of course, avoided the question, but you are entirely forgiven on the basis that for the first time in reading one of your posts I have actually fallen about laughing at a genuinely funny response. Good for you.
Now, some time, you may like to address what I know you understand to be the serious question of whether you genuinely believe that those who believe in God do expect "favourable treatment" when it comes to a disaster.
Cheers
Julia
