If you go swimming/surfing then that is a minute percentage risk that you take each time. No different to if you were to go bush-walking by yourself in Africa and get attacked by a lion.
Surfers know the risks, the ocean is sharks (and other marine animals) territory, not humans
Peace-loving surfers attacked without mercy. Five deaths within a year in WA. Enough of this green nonsense about protected species. These sharks are out of control.
Its time we took the fight back to them to regain our right to enjoy our beaches. We should allow hunting of them around our coastline and encourage it where attacks have taken place. I say teach them a lesson and with luck they’ll piss off to some other part of the oceans.
I assume (I hope) this is just tongue-in-cheek from you.
Violence is never the answer. It's all about education. The sharks are not educated. They live an uncivilised life. They don't even wear clothes FFS. We will set up underwater schools, and send in the best educated dolphins to teach these sharks how they should behave and coexist with human beings. We will employ killer whales as security guards to prevent the sharks from escaping. We will fund a multiple-media, multiple-platform campaign for shark education. Billboards will be placed at various parts of the seabed, while sharks can also get the latest "How to live with human" App from the AppStore.
That is way too complicated.
Just need to convert the sharks to Christianity!

But no, Mr Great White won’t play by those rules. He can have a chomp whenever he likes and we can’t touch him. He’s laughing at us. This has to change.
...This has to change.
Are you serious?
Why do humans think we have the supreme right to live at the expense of all other animals?
It's called natural selection.
Something which we are forever meddling with.
That's not the way nature intended it.
You get chomped by a shark.
Tough luck.
You get mauled by a bear.
Tough luck.
You get run over by a bus.
Tough luck.
There are a few humans I would sooner seen culled than sharks.
Perhaps nature should start culling us, before we start annihilating everything that is a threat to our precious lives.
If a bus wants to have a go at me, I’ll drive a tank.
So by your theory we should kill all the bee's then? They kill people here on land, more than sharks in fact. What about hippopotamus'? They also kill more people than sharks i guess we should wipe them out?...
In fact, other people kill people both by accident on purpose. I think the only solution here is to kill all humans...
Up to you if you’re happy to be fodder for any wild animal that comes your way, but I’m not. My life is precious and I want to fight back.
If I go walking in a bear-infested forest, I’ll take a gun. If a bus wants to have a go at me, I’ll drive a tank.
Its not so easy to defend yourself when your out in the surf. I’m working on some promising ideas, but it will take time. Until then, we need to take the fight to the great whites first.
I’ll look into this. I’m having trouble keeping the water out of the high energy laser and the batteries are sinking the back of the board. It's already out there. sharkshield, sharkshocker and so on... A ferret's best friend.

The great white is right at the top of the food chain. We can get by without them ..... There will just be ... more seals.
Sounds like you want a risk free life.
No check that, only when it comes to being killed by animals.
What about the humans that might kill you anywhere you may be? Cull them too? Which ones? Can you pick them in a crowd before they get you?
Killed by a falling branch from a tree? Cull those nasty trees!
Trip over hit your head on a rock and die. Cull the rocks!
I suggest you stay tightly tucked in bed at home then. Just watch out for the redbacks.......
