Time to bail or bargain buying??

History would show that in the long run the market will recover to yesterdays level and beyond. If you are in it for the long run then today is a great day to accumulate quality stocks.

absolutely. my strategy this morning was to dump the poor performing elements of the portfolio that surprisingly werent too affected by this mornings activities (being dogs) and jumping on the good stuff

Ahhh! but what's the good stuff & what's the great stuff? It's all very well saying it'll recover but what will recover the best & fastest?
Some ppl have pointed out AUZ has dropped 14% but I think it was over-hyped to begin with, JML has hardly dropped at all & is a much solider proposition, then again ZFX may be a safer bet having dropped ~$1.16 or should I be looking at RIO? or GTP? They wont all recover to the same level or at the same pace & burning the midnight oil trying to decide- I'm just going in circles.

ZFX. Yield play for the super fund. JML does not produce and has no cash flow yet. Also ZFX p/e is about 5.

Yep, ZFX is kind of a no brainer with the dividend. 4.1% yield at yesterday's price, so if the final dividend is the same or higher, that's over 8% yield for the year.

Huge gap on ZFX @ the moment, Westcrap if it can be beleived has sellers at $15.80 & buyers @ $18 so when I try to put in an order above 15.80 Pacdup automatically wont accept it, (situation normal  )
It's gonna be an interesting! day. ;)

Halba it doesn't matter this morning that JML (etc) isn't producing yet, what matters is where the sp is gonna go compared to all the rest.

Which way?
How hard?
How fast?
maybe we should all consult Yogi this morning. :D

ZFX pre open is $16.70 ATM, no reason to rush OTS

Words of wisdom, wish I'd waited longer, even better bargains today & still going down but when to grab those bargains? Getting short of the banks cash & yestys bargains in the red today. :(
All good experience, the learning curve just got steeper in the last couple of days.

Hang in there all! one thing I have learnt (I think Ivé learnt) is don't sell in the red (unless it's highly spec' (or SGL)) even if it takes months to recover.
