This was evident after the post election victory speech when Tony Abbott offered Barry O'Farrell his congratulations, Barry O'Farrell barely gave Tony Abbott a second glance before moving to the next person.
It was very apparent that Mr O'Farrell wants to maintain a healthy distance from Tony Abbott. Good letter to the editor on the differences in todays Sydney Morning Herald.

Hi Nulla, noticed that, and what about O'Farrell telling Kerry O'Brien '..I'm only talking to Gladys..'. Amazing stuff.

They are polar opposites politically - if an O'Farrell type was in Federal parliament we'd see a much higher standard of political discourse IMO
