Lovely passage,of course.
Lovely passage,of course.
But it relies on goodwill and good faith from those attempting to reconcile.
This, is missing.
its ironic how the push comes from white aborigionals from the inner city of mostly Melbourne and Sydney & not from the bushWhat the Voice proponents want is recognition that they are the owners of this land and they want some of the power that our democratically elected government has. That’s why the referendum lost, the majority of the people did not want an unelected group to hold some form of power in the parliament.
The money is not the issue anymore, it’s the land and resources and power of parliament that matters.
And I think that they have stopped using the term indigenous because the term encompasses all who are born on this land. Now they are just using Aboriginal or First Nations, to seperate themselves from all Australians.
Jacinta sees this.
It doesn't need to be Albo, but after the pomp and ceremony of the first visit, the current situation should at least qualify for the minister to make an appearance, if only to make the locals to feel they weren't extras for a promotional shoot last time. LolAlbo recently did a trip to the NT, visited Darwin for a few minutes then left. You’d think with the voice, he was so passionate about and the care of the aboriginal people he apparently has he would spend more time there and pay more attention to what’s happening in Alice springs
Interesting a couple of years ago we had a cabinet meeting in Alice Springs, due to the crime problem.
Now the place has gone balistic and police have had to be flown in from Interstate, because Alice Springs crime is off the scale, not a politician to be seen.
Still should have a visit, to show someone gives a $hit. The NT was Labor during Albo's visit government has changed hands, the new lot said they were going to fix it up locking everyone one up.
NT's incarceration rate is already 1% WA's by comparison is .2%

Can't just keep blaming someone else, when things turn ugly, it's wearing extremely thin.
its the dramatic decline of the Alice in a small number of years is the concerning thing. especially with the Mr i deeply care about the Aboriginal people Albo and his other champagne socialists MPs continusiously beating the drumThe NT was Labor during Albo's visit government has changed hands, the new lot said they were going to fix it up locking everyone one up.

You and I know it isn't an easy fix, to give people meaningfull work and purpose is going to be hard for all Australians, as Albo is finding out with the "made in Australia", wanting to do something and actually achieving it are two completely different things. Why take the blame for some one else's mess, Dutton should show up with Jacinta explaining what a great job the LNP are doing.
TBH none of them can fix the issue Australia decided that.
I don't believe Dutton would do anything either, but I don't think he would ponce around saying he would do anything, that just smacks of showmanship and wasn't a good look.
What did Albo try and do?Its not just the Alice its wide spread through out NW WA and the top end, been coming for some time as not enough want to seriously address the disfunction and structural issues.
The current lock them up (10 year olds) is just breeding the next cycle generation of criminals plus more disfunction.
Albanese actually tried to do some thing beyond the fake Abbott photo opportunities but Australians hate Aboriginals always have always will, such is life.
Abbott actually spent time out at the communities, which is more than Albo has done, constantly deriding others as an excuse for their osn performance isn't a good look either it sounds like desperation and it never goes down well.Albanese actually tried to do some thing beyond the fake Abbott photo opportunities but Australians hate Aboriginals always have always will, such is life.

Wasn’t if good to see all those champagne socialist parasites Albo and co in Canberra shoot down a bill Price tried to put in to the parliament asking to see where that 40 plus billion goes?Abbott did absolutely nothing other than photo ops and cutting programs to support young mothers etc that was part of the $500 mil he took out of spending likely the start of todays issues.
Like I say, neither side can say they have excelled in the aboriginal issue and it's about time they stopped saying we aren't good, but we are better than the other side.Abbott did absolutely nothing other than photo ops and cutting programs to support young mothers etc that was part of the $500 mil he took out of spending likely the start of todays issues.
On the subject of cutting programs to support young mothers, Gillard stopped child allowance for single mums when the child turned 8, before then it went until the child was 16.Abbott did absolutely nothing other than photo ops and cutting programs to support young mothers etc that was part of the $500 mil he took out of spending likely the start of todays issues.
