I watched the re run of some old shows tonight on channel 9 and laughed me head off. It was so funny I had some tears of joy run down my face.

It's old comedy from back in the 70's but still did the trick for me. My old mates Arthur Dunger and Leo Wanker reminded me of my old boisterous self back in the 70's.

Sadly though these days no comedy makes me have tears of joy. Many of my friends have commented about how funny 2 and a Half Men is but I find it boring and only time filling and hard to watch a show.

Where is all the good Aussie humour these days? Bring back the old shows or make new ones with some good old fashioned p!ss taking and I think we would be on winner, bring it on Australia.:D

I was worried it was going to seem dated but it was as good as I remembered it. Was hoping to see Nigel?...the nazi on his motorised skateboard.

Top stuff

It was a blast from the past.
Pity we didn't more of Delvene Delany though :-(

That will never happen.
We dare not offend anyone these days, because they will make a big fuss about being discriminated against, play the sympathy card and milk it for everything they can.
They will probably want some sort of monetary compensation, and this will be easy, because there will be a stampede of blood sucking laywers handing out their business cards.

"We" (as in society) are becoming a bunch of greedy, lazy, soft-cocks.
Ohh dear, did I just offend anyone then?
Get over it.

I'd also like to see re-runs of Blankety Blanks, but I fear this will never get a run on FTA, for the very same reason.
Too politically incorrect for our sterilized world now.

It's probably too un-Australian to be Australian anymore. ;-)

You are asking where is all the old Aus humour?
Well there is lots of it on You Tube.
Not full length series, but shorts and sketches featuring
Hogan and Ocker etc. Mainly from the 1970s.

Haven't watched it for some time, but it should
still be there.

They show Blankety Blanks on the Comedy Channel on Fox/Austar. Its actually quite funny!

I was only a toddler in the seventies and didn't realise how funny Graham Kennedy was when he was improvising!!

That show was more risque than anything on free to air TV these days, probably another reason I don't watch FTA - your right - its too sterile.

I used to watch the old Paul Hogan show reruns, here in the US. I have to say that it was the funniest show I've ever watched.

Yes, I vaguely remember the show being on here, as I was still so young I don't remember much of it - except the old wino who I liked.
