The thing is, the case was still active, the ABC only presented one side of the issue and if they presented it in such a way that inferred Lehrmann was guilty of rape it is very poor form.I don't know why it's the ABC being sued.
They always broadcast the National Press Club live and therefore have no control over the content.
Lerhmann should be suing the people who made the comments not the ABC.
its simple really.
Sue the one with the largest pockets.
The ABC has a larger pot of money to waste than Higgins, despite her 3mill govt bribe.

If that were true, they wouldn't have flipped their defense so many times. Those with deep pockets can afford to hire expensive lawyers with a greater chance of success.
We're living in the post-truth era. They are saying the presentation was in the publics interest, but if that were so, the public had a right to hear both sides.
An anti-oil industry activist charged for sparking chaos after dangling over a busy city road earned thousands acting in a major petrol company’s TV commercial.
It is interesting IMO, that the media is up in arms about the racial abuse Stan Grant is receiving, yet were cheering on the religious abuse Israel Folau and Margret Court were coping a while back.
Weird world we live in.
Not to mention politicians and journalists.Almost every columnist, celebrity, sports star, influencer etc cop heaps of online abuse very, very often.
I even recall one saying "if I don't get abused by someone then the column was a dud" and I crank it up the next time.
Given how often the ABC subject innocent people to a trial by media we could almost say "the kettle is calling the pot *****"
And politicians on both sides of politics use the same media for their ends even today, that's why open debate on forums like ASF, is so healthy for a balanced perspective IMO."A reciprocating engine of money, power and influence: how Australia’s ‘media monsters’ used journalism to cement their empires"

Could be women though the violence suggests men.
Do we? Prefer to see the evidence. There are such creatures as tall women, my cousin is one.Come on guys, are we know these weren't girls
They will refer to them as "women", vis a vis trans women are women.Do we? Prefer to see the evidence. Bbc and Daily Mail reports were based on the police report. Let's just wait till we catch them. Should not take long.
