The completely useless irrelevant thread

I wonder if "Ye" ever heard of Jesse Owens?
I know very little about this chappie Ye other than he is a warbler specialising in a particularly repetitive form of black music. He has a white Australian wife who qualified as an architect and takes her clothes off in inappropriate settings leading to the world's cameras being on intimate terms with her sagging bits. ( rhymes with bagging knits and other words inappropriate for the sensibilities of members with coronary artery disease ). He also changes his name frequently with variations on a Scottish version of his name, "can ye" etc.

The questions I would like to ask ... Is he stupid? Can he string a sentence together apart from the corrections sense? Is he capable of humour, repartee and socialising with one's maiden aunts and mining millionaires? Would you take him to a test match? In other words does he have intellectual and social intelligence?

The word azure comes from the Persian لاژورد, lazhward.

Lazhward was the name of a location famous for a kind of deep blue stone, known as lapis lazuli, which means "stone of Lazhward".

Definitely five stubbies short of a six-pack, probably didn't start off that way but after lots of drug use, it happens.

There has been some remarkable footage of the plane crash in Toronto where the aircraft flipped on its back after an extremely heavy landing. Miraculously, no body has been killed, though there are various levels of injuries.
Video footage taken by another pilot shows the aircraft seeming to be a bit hot, and flew into the runway rather than flaring and landing.
The flight by Delta airlines, was operated by a small subsidiary called Endeavour Airlines.
Its biggest claim to fame seems to be it says all their flights are "unmanned", meaning they have an all female crew.
That may come back to bight them.

On the arvo TV news it was reported that the plane was coming in a bit too fast and the landing angle was too steep.
As you say @mullokintyre fortunately nobody was killed, the crew are alive to be interviewed and the black box is recovered.
So time will give the reasons for this disaster.
200mm of snow probably not the best to have on the runway either, though I guess the snow ploughs would have been hard at work.

The black box may or may not be recovered.
All the ads I saw for the airline had the females as all blondes.

Interesting, but I struggle to think why a female pilot would be any less competent than a male pilot of a commercial plane.
In principal, no.
the problem is that in looking into the pool of qualified, available pilots, omitting 50% of the potential pool means that statistically, you get a lower standard of competence.
