Terry Wallace gone

At a guess...

Sheedy to caretake until the end of the season.

Mick Malthouse next year..

Richmond need to keep some old tigers in teh coaching staff i recon! Wayne Campbell and Sheedy are two guys perfectly fitted for the job!
When will my beloved tigers get some stability at the club?

Who would be crazy enough to do it?
Who ever does the recruiting should sign off as well!

Yes. They should follow the Sydney and Carlton model and make Wayne Campbell coach. Like Roos & Ratten, a recent much liked player into a crappy position.

Sack anyone who has had anything to do with recruitment over the last 5 years and just start again ..... again :p:

If malthouse takes over and can't make the finals then it would be the clubs reputation not his that would take the hit. They need a massive clean out of the whole culture of that club. Start with those dreadful changerooms...

It really does'nt matter who coaches them, they had some of the best coaches the game has offered & it has'nt done didly squat for them. It's time to look beyong the coach & do a thorough clean out starting with recruiting division.

My brother is friends 2 young up and coming ex-Richmond players, who were given the boot in the off season - to make room in the salary cap for Cousins... :banghead:

As they said the other night on the footy show, they may have to kick out anyone over 30 and start with a young team.

Sheedy to the end of the year for old times sake and then a new gun for next year, maybe Buckley.

Richo can come to Hawthorn for a few years or 5. He'll fit in nicely on the wing;)

I think Wayne Campbell might be too much "old school Richmond" and not seen enough as "new blood". The one problem might be people thinking that Campbell is just more of the same Wallace coaching style.

If I was a CEO I'd be jumping at the chance to sign up someone like Damien Hardwick. A premiership player, a recognised hard nut and team man, played under Sheedy and Williams, and has won a premiership as assistant coach with the Hawks under Clarkson.

Brings experience, enthusiasm, knowledge, fresh ideas and a clean sweep. I know he is thought of very highly at the Hawks. Rumour has it that Hardwick was ahead of Knights in the selection process at the Bombers, but when asked to evaluate the Essendon players, Knights believed strongly in the current crop of players whereas Hardwick voiced his opinion that they were not up to it and a clean out and rebuilding process would need to be put in place. The selection panel didn't like the idea of further "rebuilding" after 4 years out of the finals and put their faith in Knights.

Malthouse brings experience and reputation, but if you want that why not go and get Tom Hafey!! Malhouse would be a step backwards. He has overseen failure at Collingwood over the past 10 years. They need a young, driven, excited turk who can start from scratch.

Hardwick will be a first grade coach - just a matter of time.

Duckman

Here's someone very left field...

Young and inspiring, what about James Hird?

matthew richardson at $201 on sportsbet to captain coach next year haha..

Well Terry Wallace's last game at Richmond was a bit like his whole 5 years really.

Competitive in stages and looked like they were going to step up to the plate but then faded really badly and just weren't anywhere near good enough.

How a team can come back from nearly 30 points down in 10 mins of footy but then only kick 2 goals in the next half says alot about some of the players in that Richmond team imo - alot of players went missing after half time, again.

Not biased, and hate to mention another Don, but Gary O'Donnell has served his apprenticeship, and more. Spent about 5 years in Essendon magoos before being promoted, then ended up a B&F, premiership club captain. Then on to Brisbane under Lethal for 3 x finals and back to the Dons. He's not too old perhaps. Very surprised Bailey got a senior job before him actually.

Unsure on whether they have done the right thing in making Jade Rawlings the coach..?
