Terrible Cafe Service - what would you do?

Australia service culture is rubbish, very difficult to even get service let alone good service.

Australian service sucks. Every time I go back, it seems to be worse. I've travelled around quite a bit, I guess, and I think of all the places I've been Australian service is the worst. Shame really.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you two. There just isn't a service culture in Aus at all. $25/hr and no competition for jobs has made it all too easy perhaps?

Well OK I will name the place.

It wont affect most because I am in New Zealand but there are some people in this local area who follow ASF.

It was the Penguin Cafe and Bar in Golden Bay, Nelson.

Anyone know it?

Easy enough to write a review and send them a few Email's about their incompetent staff.

Buy the cafe ! remind the staff who you are and why you are replacing them.

Well, service everywhere is crap. Sure you might have been shocked and took a few mins to sink in, yet why the hell didnt you do something ... even if 10 mins passed, I cant believe you sat there on your hands and did nothing about it!

I assume you still ate there and paid the bill? Why? So what it was fathers day, thats not an excuse for putting up with that sort of sh*t, is it?

I've had some crap service and never have I stood there and let it 'go' by. The reason, because usually service means I need some, and usually I am paying for whatever service it is I am asking for. So, if I pay, I expect a certain element of service, and more to the point standard of service, see a thread started by TS for other peoples views.

Name and shame them on every website you can find! Stick some posters up around town - print them out and nail them up! Find sites that have food reviews - plenty of them, and post away! Ring the paper! Ring the boss/owner - demand an apology, keep ringing them! Tell everyone you know! Get them to tell everyone they know!

Lastly, what else do you expect? Its NZ. :
