Sydney holiday accommodation

Goodness, Visual, perhaps we'd better take the sheets off the bed and wash them, scrub out the bathroom, and disinfect the TV remote as well!
You've just reminded me why I never watch ACA or its competitor.

:D Absolute truth.

Julia, that doesn't sound like such a bad idea!:p: considering the phrase I heard much too often whilst working in a similar enviroment was, you don't have to clean like you do at home. ACA showed in this instance nothing but the truth. Anyway seeing that kind of stuff doesn't worry you, have fun anyway, all the best.

(all this talk of hygiene )
well lemme put it this way ;)

if you wait till august 12, (and if you register early) you'll be able to run in (or walk) the city to surf.

And for various reasons people sweat and expel 'juices'

and sometimes these cause you to chaff typically in the undies area

and then you run past a St John's Ambulance bloke with a GIANT bowl of Petroleum jelly

and people are dabbing their hands in - getting a big dollup , say 3 fingers, of grease

and putting their hand down their undies and giving their crotch or backside a liberal (Liberal?) application of the stuff

then run on the next station and get another dollup - yet another three finger dip into yet another communal bowl etc

I only say this because you might want to consider bringing your own jelly lol.

Ugh I saw it too Visual. 5 Star hotels using the toilet brush then putting in the same bucket as the sponge they use to wash the glasses on the sink. Then using the dirty towel on the floor to dry said glasses......... My husband used to laugh at me for not drinking out of those glasses now we will both be doing the bottled water thing!

lol
whatever you do, don't complain :)
that's when they really let loose (when you aren't watching)
(the mind boggles lol)

If you complain they put poison ivy on the toilet seats -
and the only thing then is to stand on the rim lol

We're back from a great week in Sydney and my thanks to those members who recommended Quay West Suites. It was just beautiful.
Wonderful views over the Harbour, Opera House, Bridge and out to the Heads. I can't recommend this highly enough as a place to stay in Sydney. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing was any trouble.
One night there was a minor problem with a tap. It was fixed in a few minutes. Later that evening a complimentary bottle of wine arrived. A completely unnecessary gesture, but very much appreciated.

The hotel is fully serviced but has fully equipped kitchen for the times when you want to prepare a meal.

Two minutes walk down to Circular Quay and less to the lovely old buildings in The Rocks.

All this with a surprisingly reasonable room rate.
