Interesting article:

Aged regret not having had more sex

BRITISH pensioners regret not having had more sex while younger, while 20-somethings wish they'd got on the property ladder earlier, according to a survey today.

The generational study questioned 1500 Britons over 65 and the same number aged between 20-29 and asked them their top 10 wishes if they could turn back the clock.

70 per cent of the pensioners said they wished they'd had more sex, with 57 percent regretting they had not travelled more.

Four out of 10 regretted not saving more for their retirement.

Of the younger respondents, 77 per cent wished they had bought their first home earlier, with 56 per cent regretting "wasting" their money on socialising and drinking.

The poll, commissioned by television channel UKTV Gold, found 23 per cent of those in their 20s would have liked to have slept with fewer partners.

The findings also revealed that 21 per cent of OAPs wish they had married someone else.

I expect the bit about home buying has more to do with the boom than anything else. If they had asked this question 7 years ago then it would have been something like "77% wished they had bought dot.com stocks earlier".

As for the bit about socialising, I'm convinced that those aged 18-25 are, in general, going to blow the money no matter what so they might as well have fun. I know a few that were never into the drinking or car scenes but without exception they blew the money on something else.

What I read out of the study suggests that our values change over time and what we want now is what is out of our reach or gone.

The olds have the house but little sex...the youngs have the sex, but not the house.

Its the cake and eat it too scenario....

The truth is, younger generation hardly ever uses older generation’s wisdom.

They have to find it out themselves and give advice to new young generation later, who will not take it on face value ………

So why do we have so much regret from the older generation about not having more sex?

Maybe they suffered with too much morgagte stress, you know what that does to your sex drive

Ohh and to add insult to injury...we will all be bonking less, as of next month when another interest rate rise lands in our laps.

Higher interest rates increase stress levels and less time in the bedroom and more time spent at work trying to afford that dream home.

Now which drug company should I invest in next Viagra or Valium?

LOL, its just a humerous article I found in the paper, no need to read it personally.

And BTW...I get it, plenty of it, and whenever I want it, but thanks for your concern ;)

And you wanna know the real coincidence that the study unearthered ? The partners of those 21% ALSO happened to have the same opinion !!!!..lol.

(My bet is that you could add that 10.5% of the couples had that opinion ;))

As for wishing you had more sex - ...
like the old bloke who told the interviewer " last time I had sex you ask ? mmm lets see it was 1920 I think" - she says "gee that's a long pause!!"
" ahhh you think so? ok ok, but - looking at his watch - its only 19:45 now!" ;)

Or the hooker goes to the wrong address and the old bloke answers the door " you want supersex !!" she asks incredulously " ahhh he says ... soup please "

Nothing to do with the thread - but the one about the two old guys in the club... "you know Wutherington-Swaite, I was in India once !!" - "ooh fancy that" "and, and one day I was walking down this path chasing this tiger, and" "yes yes go on" " and all of a sudden WHHHRRRRR" - "oooh, ooh what happened??" " I made of mess of my pants" he says looking sheepish. his friend says " I don't blame you I would 've too!!" " no I dont mean then , I mean ,mmm, just now when I went WHHRRRR".
