As I write this we have the Tour de France, the F1 GP and the football on.

Why would you ever leave your living room except to re stock the bar ?

Sorry plus the cricket, does it get any better than this ?

Serious Q, my God, which of the 2 is the worse performance tonight the Shockers getting a new asshole torn by my beloved Crows 130 to 13 points (THAT IS NOT A TYPO) or the pathetic performance by the poms? Bet the toffee noses are choking on their cucumber sandwiches as we speak....

Australia's Neil Robertson will play China's Ding Junhui, in the Final of the Snooker Grand Prix in Glasgow, Scotland.

Robertson recorded three century breaks as he took a 5-3 lead but Scotsman John Higgins roared back to level the match in front of his home crowd.

The semi-final came down to the final ball, Robertson holding his nerve as Higgins conceded on the black. Final score 6-5.

It's now 6-4 after winning 73- 5 in the tenth frame. A solid performance by Robertson in this frame, though you can't trust these Chinese - 9.48pm.

Runner in the Com Games marathon collapsing and stumbling and rolling all over the shop. Not a doctor in sight for at least 5 minutes. He looks close to serious damage, perhaps death. People don't realise serious damage can happen very fast when you're at that stage. And yet everyone is standing gawking at him.

No doubt he'll be praised for his courage, not his stupidity. To say nothing of the incompetent medical staff who should have pulled him off track ages ago.

Like Thredbo and Beaconsfield, the ar5e covering risk assessment process is far more important than jumping in and doing the bleeding obvious; that's how we do things in a civilised society.

Yep and if he'd died, they'd be all "oh we didn't know!!".

Reminds me of a lady I saw collpased in the middle of the road. Had a crowd around her fussing like complete idiots. I asked if she was hurt. No. Did you hit your head? No. What happened? Fell over. Do you have any medical conditions? No. So do you want to get off the road before someone gets hit by a car? Oh, ok. And then came the cries of "don't move her!". I shot them a look that shut them right up. And with someone else, got of her off the goddamn road. Ambulance came, despite me saying isn't wasn't necessary, something like 5 people had called. She was fine. Walked home.

The first, a no response in an emergency. The other, a ridiculous over-response when not needed.

New research suggests that athletes, especially those who do endurance events like marathons, could get clots more often. They're more likely to get dehydrated or injured. They may travel far. DVT symptoms are easy to mistake for sports-related issues. Call your doctor if you notice swelling, unexpected bruises, or a stabbing "Charley horse" pain in your arm, leg, or especially your chest.
