Sorry - Another DMA thread!

sorry for another DMA thread however I have read through all the other threads and while I understand the difference with DMA v market maker I am still not clear on what the actual benefits would be of switching to DMA. I am using IG at the moment and have the option of activating DMA but not completely sure what the actual pro's and cons will be apart from clearly seeing market depth. Does it open up more arbitrage opportunities?
