Define "australia"

Do you mean the current Australian government, the Australian people, or those that actually had something to do with the stolen generation?

And its too late anyway - the poll should be 'should we Rudd have said sorry on behalf of the Government'

I think this issue has been polled to death. It's actually been quite enlightening hearing everyone's opinions.Probably time to move on and debate something else to death

Sorry, didn't add to the poll

spot on Gar
so ambiguous as it stands.
Polls should be less ambiguous surely.
And usually Joe insists on the option of "other" etc...

Sorry, didn't add to the poll
Make that two hundred of us roland

why should we say sorry for stuff we haven't even done???? Im not sorry for world war one or two.....I have great respect for anybody who went there, and I appreciate the men and women who died for their country....but I think saying sorry is taking responsibility for something we didn't do...and thats wrong.

yeah because to raise any concerns about the issue is racist
.. no, no its not... could say the same about o/s people who get their PR, use the first home owners grant (long term tax payer money) and then buy an investment property 12 months later... thats not the spirit of the grant... but to complain about that is not racist, nor is this "sorry" business... if you move to China or India, do those governments give you money for a property..NO WAY.. and if they did the locals would cut you into pieces...

Knew this would happen... just a poll...

The answer is both yes and no.

No Rudd didn't have to say sorry to apologize. yes he does need to say this "i feel sorry for you"

Perhaps you've heard the story of the little bird. He had his wing over his
eye and he was crying. The owl said to the bird, "You are crying." "Yes,"
said the little bird, and he pulled his wing away from his eye. "Oh, I see,"
said the owl. "You're crying because the big bird pecked out your eye." And
the little bird said, "No, I'm not crying because the big bird pecked out my
eye. I'm crying because I let him."

Nice pitiful and compassionate story but the little bird did not let the big bird peck out the eye.The big bird did so and the little bird had no way to stop it happening.

Deja vu.
Superfly and the racists won't give in!

So your going to pay the bill for this "sorry" out of your own pocket ???.... bet your not that "sorry"....

Think about it... but then again, if you did think, you would have voted "no"...

Racist.. lol ... yeh yeh yeh ....

No

history is history - the romans don't go on about the greeks vice versa
another thing is that it opens up legal cases to be taken advantage of

that said, even though the government already has the queen never even mentioned a single utterance about it!
