LOL ...... methinks Aussies RWC campaign will be over when the Allblacks turn up to play.

Wallabies used a "Get out of Jail Free" card against the Boks. Penalty kick to win with 10 mins to go is hardly a win but yet a win it is.

The AB's can definitely be beaten, I doubt people in NZ would be too surprised if they were, Aus must be favourites now following Tri-Nations & the SA win yesterday. Just hope the public can keep up the passion for whoever is in the final! :eek:
 
Some stats for those of you who like this sort of thing before having a flutter :)

Appears the serious punters are backing AB's (paying $1.30), Aus paying $3 thereabouts, but only rats & mice coming in

Some interesting callouts
- AB's have never beaten Oz in a world cup
- Oz struggle at Eden Park (AB's have 82% win record - 18 out of 22)
- While Robbie Deans has been in charge Oz have lost 11 times to AB's
 
what a shame for Wales - real shame two kicks were missed, and Warburton must be gutted - the ref should have consulted his assistants. His send off ruined the match unfortunately, a yellow card would've been enough. France were so average, it will be a tragedy for rugby if they win the cup. Whoever wins tonights All Blacks Wallabies game will be pretty confident they'll take the tournament. It should be a fantastic game! :)

for sure Pocock eliminated. AB forwards were very good, Kaino, Thorn, Meleamu & McCaw - pretty hard to beat when they're in the zone like that - then Cruden who was out skateboarding a couple of weeks back & not even in the squad!
Great game, hard luck Wallabies shame it wasn't the final, Aus deserve better than 3rd place playoff

there was another stat they forgot to mention in that lot - no team thats won the Tri Nations has ever gone on to win the RWC in the same year.

At least ABs have beaten Oz in a world cup now

Your right Edwood to say that it's a shame it wasn't the final because it's highly unlikely the final will be as good for obvious French reasons , so sure, for entertainment value was a great game of rugby, full on intensity and physical without being a classic, but to say that Aus deserve better than a 3rd place playoff is a bit rich considering they have been beaten twice, and were more than lucky to get past the Saffers...

I think the blacks will win by 20 plus on sunday, but expect Wales v Australia to be a more enjoyable game to watch....
 
you guys have had a great year tho namrog & would've been good to meet up in the final - Super 15 win for Qlnd & Tri-Nations champs - a young team, all looking good for you for the next RWC.

What's the thinking for tonight? Oz should take Wales - should be a good game. Wonder if Cooper might see a lot of high ball given his last match
 
Congratulations to the all blacks. Best team through out the competition and deserve to be world champs.

Full marks to the French though. Fantastic performance in the final and, to my mind, were the better team on the night.

To me the ABs seemed a bit flat... and who could blame them after the match against the Wallabies last week. And yes France looked the better team tonight.

My village is going Ape S#it right now. :cool:
 
I'm not into sport but am so pleased NZ has achieved this. It will help to balance the annus horribilus they've endured in other areas.

France could have taken that, the AB's were very lucky to keep them out and to not draw a penalty in the final 15 mins. The French forwards had a great game - credit to France for proving their doubters wrong, they were competely written off by the media.

Its a shame to see the end of the tournament, NZ has been humming these last few weeks

As a Kiwi I was also on the edge of my seat....I also felt the frogs became stronger towards the end of the match and thank God the All Blacks were triumphant:)


To you Aussies:)....Cheers for aknowledging your support and yes it was an awesome few weeks.....sweet competitive game last weekend, cheers boys:thankyou:
