Let's hope Rudd gets his focus back on Local issues, he's not the foreign minister, we need him to sort out the labour market, inflation and start making good on on some election promises or he's straight back out the door as far as my next vote is concerned.

Prime Ministers, as well as Foreign Ministers, have international obligations. Meetings with overseas leaders comes with the territory. As far as fulfilling election promises, Kyoto has been ratified, an apology to Aborigines has been delivered, workchoices has been scrapped, state/federal funding agreement on Health and Water has been achieved, Australia's position in Iraq has been spelt out to the yanks, and the budget, which no doubt will be a very tough one, will seek to reverse the rampant inflationary spending spree of the last government, who in the final years, managed to outspend Gough Whitlam, in relative terms. Can't ask for much more than that in a few months.
