Republicans are better at running the US economy

The right is quickly moving towards populist policies.

Trump is running on huge tax breaks with no real idea on how to pay for them, he runs on needing a weaker USD to make American exports attractive, then proposes policies that achieve the opposite. Trumps recent campaign policies have looked a lot like Steven Miles in QLD, big spending with no real idea of how to pay for it to win votes.

I lean to the right on almost all policies but the right is increasingly losing it's common sense nature. Populist politics is dangerous and we are seeing it on both sides of the aisle.

In conclusion we are f*cked no matter who gets elected, no government is currently looking further then the next election. No long term objective, no long term vision for the country (in both Australia and the USA).

I am not interested in talking on this topic to much, in general I lean conservative myself on a lot of topics and left on others, I am pretty much a centrist.

However in the USA the Dems are much closer to centre than the republicans at the moment, and lots of traditional republicans starting to feel that way.
