Gday,

I am considering Building a uranium port folio to the value of $20k

I am looking to get in at current prices with a view of holding for the long term.

I think Uranium is real however I beleive a number of stocks will never have there resource mined.

My Uranium Portfolio consists of: I have added in SRZ which is a diversified Exploration company because of I think their exposure to uranium is good, and they dont have the expenses of drilling as TOE is covering the costs.

In total the portfolio is around $20,000.

BMN - 1200 @ $2.50 = $3000
PDM - 15000 @ 16.5 cents = $2500
ERN - 4000 @ 60 cents = $2400
MKY - 20000 @ .07 cents = $1400
SRZ - 5000 @ 30 cents = $1500
SIM - 5000 @ .85 = $4250
CTS - 7200 @ 70 cents = $5040

I know uranium has run hard, but i think its only the beginning really.

Other uranium stocks I considered were WME, WMT, EXT, UTO.

Have I choosen to many stocks? Is 7 stocks too many?

Thoughts?

I personally think it's too many... People here will have their opinions on diversifying and lowering risk... I personally don't like Diversification. It's hard enough to keep up with company news for me as I barely have the time to do my own research. I always saw diversification as an easy way to hit a company that would go up a lot... I only own two stocks... MTN and CTS so yes I approve of your CTS selection...

I think you should consider WHE - wild horse energy as well

I agree with insiders diversification thoughts. One down, one up, overall going nowhere.

might look at adding the heathgate/quasar/ general atomic connection: adn, gir, ags. and the possibly the small block down the the road to ags/gir: mtn. toe might be go to conner the lake frome zone.

good luck.

U - green sustainable future

I would personaly add PDN as it is trading slighlty down at the moment and they are a producer with big potential upside. On the other hand they have had a very good run in the last few years so is it going to continue? My personal opinion is yes.

I agree with insider, WHE (wildhorse) are worth considering, ive been watching since opening in november, and they have only been heading in one direction...

Is the 20k part of your portfolio, or all of it?

IMHO I think you have spread around too much. I used to have SMM, UXA, ERA, BMN, DYL, PDN, MTN, AGS and others (forgotten) but too much like hard work trying to keep up with them all, and to keep up with all the spp's, etc.

I took the PDN offer for SMM (with thanks), figured I had enough exposure to DYL through PDN so took my profits, and took profits for the others, and a loss for UXA. Now only hold 2, 18000 BMN and 16000 PDN, preferring Namibia to Aus since I think the Aus mining scene will take years to resolve. If I had to pick up another U it would probably be AGS for its SA deposits, and I also watch SIM which I see you have but think the vast territory it has may be difficult to get explored. But I think BMN is still better!

My BMN and PDN are <10% of my portfolio, as I prefer to have majority of funds in eg TCQ, IMD, CBA, WOW, ZFX etc.

Don't get too euphoric about U! Do some research (eg spot price now down to 120/lb) and read eg http://www.fnarena.com/index2.cfm?type=dsp_newsitem&n=FC55E963-17A4-1130-F5E55FE82A027FA2
