QuoteTracker not working with eTrade

i cant get quotetracker to work with etrade
when i make it do a web login it goes to https://www.etradeaustralia.com.au/application/index.htm
but my etrade login doesnt work there it only works if i login at http://invest.etrade.com.au. according to etrade homepage this is the new website so i guess i cant use quotetracker?

I have QT and ETrade working together ok. No need for web login; check your settings and make sure you've clicked on the banner ad as well (assuming you're using unregistered QT).

Hi thanks for help but it is a problem with etrade login.

quotetracker uses https://www.etradeaustralia.com.au/application/index.htm to login to etrade. if i go to that address and try to log in manually
it says "You are not authorised to use this function : APPLICATION".
It is recognizing my user/pass but not letting me do anything which also explains why quotracker doesnt give a login failed message

my login only works properly at invest.etrade.com.au.
Im thinking maybe new accounts only have access through the newer website :(

I wrote them an email, and response as follows:

"Right now QT works with the old URL only. However, we are not actively distributing E*Trade AU configuration in QT anymore. Reason being is that they are very hostile and tend to disable accounts that use QT. Other brokers are not like that."

Seems Etrade isn't friendly with Quote Tracker.

It'll be such a waste of money paying $150 for live data feed if you decided to go with eSignal or whatever else service.

Wondering does anyone else have Quote Tracker or similar software which link up with etrade or commsec monitor your stock and give you live current price data.

Cheers.

I was using quote tracker a couple of weeks ago and was sent a warning email about excess data usage

Have used it with Commsec and never had any problems. If you use to many symbols though you can chew through your bandwidth limits fairly quickly.

I use Quotetracker everyday with Comsec and it works perfectly. It's a great little program.

I've just started testing Quote Tracker & was surprised to find it works with Westpac- Damn I was looking for another excuse to dump Wetpuk.:banghead:
I have found though that when I go to Westpac via browser while QT is running I get dumped back to the westpac signin page every 30 seconds now instead of every 5 minutes- guess it is time to dump $25 broking fees after all.:D
Could anyone suggest the best course for me? I want to use a live data feed the way QT uses it & beleive I deserve $6 or small percentage brokerage fees. Should I/can I possibly use Ameritrade to trade ASX shares or should I be looking at IB or someone else?

Main needs are ASX Shares, low brokerage & live feed for dabbling in day trading. ( been watching Wall St Warriors)

Hi
This thread has been quiet for a few years but maybe someone can help with my question.

I can't get Quotetracker to load data for ASX symbol TAHHA (a Tabcorp bond). Funny thing is it loads symbols such as ANZPC, CBAPA and SBKPB without a hitch.

I have tried the ASX delayed data feed and my Commsec login but TAHHA refuses to load. I have also tried various prefixes and suffixes ie TAHHA.ax, AU_TAHHA etc without success.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Geoff

Quotetracker doesn't work with Commsec anymore and they warned us that this would happen sometime ago. The ASX delayed feed also doesn't work on some of those interest bearing stocks like you mentioned. I have SBKHB and NABHA and it doesn't work for those either. I use my brokers site now. I set up the watch list with my stocks and in the portfolio section I put in my cost prices that I paid for each stock and it comes up live and to the exact quotation to the dollar. Unfortunately that's the only free and live way I know how to go, cheers.
