Does anyone know how or if you can somehow get quotetracker to work with etrade australia?? i cant see it on the list but they have all the other etrades in the world. Its just i have an account with etrade and dont really feel like having to sign up to westpac or one of the other banks ugh.. its a pain

thanks

QT stopped providing the Etrade level 1 and 2 providers a few years ago. I emailed them and they said it was because Etrade were 'hostile' towards QT users but they would provide you with the login scripts if you request it with the above warning. If they won't/can't let me know.

Try downloading the software again.

Mine work with both Commsec and Etrade.. both level 1 and level 2 viewing.

Check your setting.

use your pass for Commsec or Etrade, and fiddle around with Proxy, level 2, and other setting. It's quite a complex task of setting this software up.

Though it's free software which piggy back on those sites and get live prices.

Yes its very complex lol. You say you can use etrade australia? where do you exactly type in your log in details? There are tabs for the comsec and westpac sections but no etrade. Cant see anything under proxy settings that could help me connect correctly

Quotetracker

Does anyone use Quotetracker here?

I was wondering if Quotetracker would work on etrade aussie accounts? Etrade does not seem to be in the list of supported sites in the software.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use Quotetracker (ver 3.9.5) with Westpac Broking.

I can see that there is a site for E*trade Australia (customers only) provided.

I love Quotetracker and do not need to use Westpac except for to buy & sell.

i got a westpac broking account just for quotetracker. Went through all that work to sign up and it never even worked on QT with my westpac login.
Wasnt happy to say the least. Do u have anytips?
I use etrade and QT but its pretty useless seems the intraday charts dont work but I guess its ok for using it as an interface to get live quotes.

To setup Westpac access:

<Options>
<Data Source/Proxy Settings>
<Level II>
--- pick "Westpac Australia Real Time.... "
--- enter your Customer ID (Westpac ID)
--- enter your Password (Westpac PW)
<OK>
-------------------------------------------------------

I use WP for almost live updates,
<Portfolio> and I have duplicated my Westpac portfolio
-- you can setup portfolio live updates beginning with every five seconds

<Tools> Raw Data - lists individual share trades by one code
-- you can setup multiple screens by share code

Have not got into the charts!
-- they are in my portfolio screen.

I like Quote Tracker too. It only cost me from about $7 to $9 more recently to pay for a monthly subscription to get rid of the adds and get more data, ie to be able to chart further back than 6 months, but I have now cancelled the subscription cos the adds don't seem to bother me now and to trim costs a bit and because I use GoTrader, Etrade and nab broking on different accounts where I can get longer term chart data.

With the latest browers I find it easy to open Quotetracker and my browser and use the Browser tabs to open different pages for different brokers, and other sites that I want to access at the same time such as Aussie Stock Forums and switch between them from the quicklaunch bar and tabs.
