Hi guys.

Lets say the thing you've invested in has boomed and it's at where you want to sell it. People are obviously going to be selling, but who's buying (if they are)? Eg: when bitcoins boomed and hit like $1200? and people started selling it, how does that work? Or is it just like, you can sell em all that the SP or below and get in T3 days?

Appreciate any feedback.

Assume we are talking shares!

It's an auction.

There is a buyer ("Bid") and a seller ("Offer").
If and when they meet, BOOM, a transaction occurs.
That price becomes the "Last" Price.

Buyers and sellers are people of all kinds
(you, me, big_money_institutions, brokers, newbies, mums & dads).
They have all kinds of reasons for buying or selling.

Hm...makes sense. But I'm kinda worried about a situation like that arising. Like think about Sirius, when it went from 5c to 5buck, and people put up a "auction" to sell it at 5, why would anyone but it? How could you sell like 300-500 grand worth of shares to someone when it's at its highest. It kinda doesn't make sense. Is the key here to sell it a little below the SP so you can get it sold ASAP so the SP doesn't drastically drop, or what?

Apple (pre share split) went from a few dollars to a hundred dollar per share - why would anyone buy it ? Because potentially it could (and it did) go to a few hundred dollars per share. Why would anyone buy it at a few hundred dollars per share - because it could go to a few thousand dollars a share.

300-500 grand worth of shares is a tiny drop of water in the waterfall. Apple averages 5600 millions worth of shares a day.

Do you know when the price is at its highest ? If you do, let me know how you do it..People thought Apple would top after running from $5 to $50 per share. It went to $500 and more.

... It kinda doesn't make sense ...
