Coodanup is an exception granted. Most cities have there area of low social demographic. (Especially WA) Living in Caravan Parks doubt that one, 1.2 million holiday makers per year, are they included in the trailer trash %. Most of them will be bulldozed shortly anyway for developments.

Will research you education response though as my kids attend the State schools. I can afford the private but our choice was state.

Will get back to you (You dont live in Rockingham do you?)

Yep, I do love Sydney and that is an un-biased opinion as I live on the Gold Coast.....which I love also
 
Apologies but my opinion is biased, infact, I have even been described as Sydney-centric

Speaking of the Gold Coast, North Burleigh heads is a favourite, not overly touristy like Surfers, and I prefer the beach to say Main Beach.

There was an 8 page special report on QLD property in one of the Sunday papers a fortnight ago. Mentioned that property in the Gold Coast was at $3K/sqm a few yrs back, now it's around the $10K/sqm.

Is the suburb of Labrador still full of retired Sydney-siders?

ps - further to that 8-page special, Airlie Beach in north QLD looks like a nice place to 'getaway'...
 
I can never understand why climate is not taken into account when assessing the most livable cities. Vancouver is cold most of the year and rains about 80% of the time. Yet, despite that, they have severe water restrictions in the brief summer.

I think maybe they should invest in rain tanks, or maybe they havent heard of them yet lol
 
In the survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit on the "best place to live" the parameters considered were: personal risk, infrastructure and availability of goods and services.

It was not a surprise to see four Australian cities among the Top 10.

Norway often wins the UN Human Development Index (aka standard of living), and even their own prime minister wonders whether the judges only ever come to Oslo in the summer
 
This is an outrage... Melbourne is 17th... And Sydney is calling itself the sporting capitol of Australia with plans to take the F-1 From us... Well I think Sydney can continue calling themselves the gay capitol of the world...
