Good day guys,

I am fairly new to the game of share trading it is a bit like monopoly if you ask me.

Would it be reasonable to ask what is deemed a small or large $ outlay on shares purchase? It makes sense that the more access to money you have the more shares you can buy but what is considered a median trade?

Cheers

Interesting question, obviously it varies but I assume you mean for retail punters. I wonder if the ASX has stats on that- you could email them via www.asx.com.au

Maybe just getting an average value for a typical comsec trade will be enough (I'm sure ASX systems record these figures) and you can look either side of that value for 'small' or 'big'. Not sure if that data is sensitive or freely available.
