Many may not agree but I believe Trump is a shoe-in to be re-elected President of the USA.

I predicted his last victory. He is now running against a disastrous choice by the Democrats as they did last time around.

Biden's brain is not up to it. Trump is unlikeable but electable.

I predict a turnaround in the USA as does Trump, a normalisation of relations with a less aggressive China and the side-lining of Putin. The EU and Great Britain will fragment and be difficult to predict. Australia will align with the USA politically and economically and prosper.

and, seeing he's getting on, taking toxic compounds (that pallour is natural??), then it's also important to know if VP Pence will be on the ticket.
 
Agree he will get back in but the US will not be any good to Australia where most of out trade is. Our gov is on the wrong trail in my view GG
 
I don't know. The alternative isn't great but I don't think many are that impressed by his handling of covid. For someone who basically closed the borders and ran children's book authors out of the country, not to mention building the wall, he's got to explain how he let the situation get away.

Plus he's been looking shaky physically lately, and if he keeps on taking hydroxychloroquine then his health is likely to suffer more.

I just don't think he's a sure bet any more.
 
Like I said earlier, don't apply Aussie logics, would you take the that drug he is taking? I know I wouldn't.
I wouldn't even touch the vaccine until it has been well proven.
There were riots in the streets in the U.S, of people just wanting to get on with life, they're yanks nothing is bigger, stronger, more invincible, to infinity and beyond.
A lot of the general public will be saying he is doing the right thing, getting on with business, I don't think they are as benevolent as Australia is, it is more of a look after yourself sort of society from my understanding. I have a distant relative over there his father and my father were somehow related, anyway his dad is still working at 75, he's a teacher.
Just my opinion.
 
Slowly leaning toward Rumpy.

Trump needs a vaccine even one he can say works.
A placebo will do if enough believe he is the savior.

Trump and his spin doctors have learnt the art of media
manipulation enough to get the Rednecks scared to death about the next
latest and greatest wacko conspiracy theory. Trump wont help
he wants to distance himself from anything remotely negative.
Very quick to point the finger at those making the hard and correct
decisions---Governors, and Medical experts first in line, if its outside
of anything popular.

He and his administration know that Covid is completely out of control
in the states. So time to spin and I feel fewer are believing him.

Its not far from not being able to tell the truth even if its in front of you.
That's what Trump wants. False news is now his campaign tool of choice.

False news is rampant and its clearly circulated to cover the truth.
Want the death rate to mean nothing---just report its over stated.
While the actual death toll is UNDERSTATED as is infection rates.

Load up buckle up and God bless America.

Definitely agree that we are applying our own perspective to a foreign country that doesn't necessarily share our fundamentals of looking after each other. But I just think that things are turning bad for Trump, the people affected most by covid, ie the poor and low paid may turn against him and there won't be enough rich selfish bastards to outvote them.

The poor and low paid will be forced to return to work and will be more likely to get the virus and die while the rich will just work from home in their country estates.

Interesting times ahead.
 
Despite some above comments Trump will be better for Australia than Biden.

Trump respects Australia, he doesn't like us.

The USA needs aircraft carriers in this part of the world, and we are the biggest there is. With china sidelined they will need more smaller export markets such as Australia.

Look for Trade and Defence agreements next year.

If Trump gets back in i can see a lot of multinationals, relocating their factories from China to Thailand, Vietnam, India, Mexico, Brazil and the U.S.

People still need their junk and to make it requires our raw materials, which are the cheapest to extract, so in reality there may be a short term slowdown then whoever is making the junk will import our materials and so the wheel turns.

In all probability China will still be a huge importer, I think as China urbanises their domestic demand will increase hugely and in reality the Chinese people will benefit more than they are by making cheap junk for export.
In reality China has been smart and sold themselves as slaves, to get the World manufacturing there, now they have all the factories to make anything a Country could want so they wont care if the multinationals pull out.
It is a bit like when China got Hong Kong back, it also picked up the Worlds most advanced automated port facility in the bargain, now they have installed the same system through all their ports.
If Trump doesn't get in well everything goes back to normal, multinationals making a fortune, China picking up more factories and intellectual property for nothing and we keep sliding down the slope.
Just my opinion.

Shorten didn't seem to have an opposition, but turned out he was his own worst enemy.
Would have thought Trump would have a similar problem, but I don't really get those in the USA.
This pandemic has exposed a lot about different nations and left everyone bewildered on all sorts of matters particularly priorities, what they chose to deal with and how.
We could say we have been lucky but our integrity through this I think will prove beneficial for future dealings. I would hope that when we come to the table our voice will be much more respected, and at the end of the day we hold lots of goodies and should demand a stronger stand in negotiations.
I don't have a problem with us sticking our chin out a bit, we may get a crack on the jaw now and then but hey we can stand for something.

I'm surprised most you think Trump will get elected. Considering he is un-electable due to his shopping list of f-ups in the last 4 years.

But personally i don't care. To me Trump is just the "real voice of America". He represents his government, corporate interests, and media accurately. Greedy, bigoted, imperialistic.

Most Americans even the left wing essentially agree with him with the caveat of "shhhh! Stop telling others how we really think!"
 
I liken Trump these days to someone singing "live" on TV without even holding or having attached to them any microphone meanwhile the guitarist frantically strums away to a song with no guitar sound in the music. Mocking the whole concept that such performances were live music in full view of everyone but the audience loves it anyway and nobody mentions the obvious.

Trump is much like that. The nonsense is so blatant, with not even an attempt to hide it, but he carries on with a straight face as though nothing's wrong. As a showman he's not bad at it.

Is Trump really taking hydroxychloroquine? Almost certainly the answer there is no. That's just part of the act, it's part of the deception akin to the use of smoke at a magic show to hide what's really going on.

The only thing Trump is actually good at is entertainment. As a parody act he does a brilliant send up of the US President that's so over the top ridiculous as to be funny regardless of the detail of the content.

Only trouble is, this ain't no stage show. It's real. Back to reality......

Consequences if he's re-elected?

My guess is he steps on the gas. With nothing to lose it'll be more of the same ramped up to the max. We ain't seen nothing yet - and yes I'm being completely serious there.
 
The Dems shouldn't want to get in.
Most obvious hospital hand pass ever.
Also I don't see how they can hold the elections in any case.

The interesting thing about Trump is that it will not bother him whether he wins or loses the election, as was his stance when he campaigned against Hillary Clinton.

Biden is a softer candidate and even I cannot watch him speaking now lest he wander off in to la la land. He is certainly softer in the head than he was ten years ago. Trump knows this and will hit him every time.

I would prefer a narcissistic man like Trump in the White House rather than a bumbler like Biden.

In the future Australia's economic future will not be dependent on China, either by their designs or ours.

We need a strong USA for our economic survival.

God save the USA, as they require divine intervention to save themselves from themselves.

If I was an American, I would be looking for a revolution, to outcast these stupid old men.

At least Xi makes some sense, Biden and Trump are not the leaders I would be looking for when they have access to the big red button - nuc's

you expect too much. This is 'Murica we're talking about. Where people are fighting 5G towers, protesting against a virus, whose smartest people think printing money will make recession go away.

As long as Biden doesn't threaten to nuke countries, or take malaria pills to prove a point... think we good!!!
