Pre-open during trading

Had a quick search and didnt find anything on this so I thought i would throw it out there.

When a stock goes pre-open during normal trading trading pending the release of a price sensitive announcement how long does it stay in pre-open? Is there some predetermined length or does it change?

When a stock goes pre-open during normal trading trading pending the release of a price sensitive announcement how long does it stay in pre-open? Is there some predetermined length or does it change?

The period from pre-open to when the announcement appears is variable, but normally no more than a couple of minutes. (Dependent on their capacity to load them I guess.) Typically it will open again 10 minutes after the time the announcement is posted.
