Code Last $ +/- Bid Offer Open High Low Volume Options Warrants Chart Status
SGB 24.140 -0.680 24.130 24.140 23.980 24.220 23.900 3,287,044 Options Warrants XD

The above from the ASX website. Just curious as to why SGB shows as DOWN for trading to that point.

The stock opened at $23.98 and rose to a high of $24.22 (+24 cents!)
It then fell back to $24.14 (down 8 cents from the high)

YET THE ASX (& COMMSEC) SHARE PRICE WEBSITES BOTH SHOW THE STOCK AS DOWN 68 cents!!??

WTF? Is there a delay or something that distorts the truth?

Obviously, they know something I don't - hehe!
Please enlighten my newbie brain....

Cheers,

AJ

Hi AussieJeff,

the reason why SGB is down to day, is because it went ex dividend... though the reason with the share price showing that its down .68 cents, is because its .68cents down from previous close.

Previous Close was $24.82

Cheers,
sis

Thx sis!

I wonder why Commsec & ASX sites don't show "Previous Close" as part of the watchlist data sets? I can only see "Open" which I mistakenly took as being the previous day's "Close" price!

Thoughts?
