I am not a trader or rather a very bad one as I lost heaps in the past and simply not psychologically suited to that activity but I just had a win.

However, over the years I have noticed that when a takeover offer is made other players enter the game. So it was with TRU. When EQT made its offer in February this year, I took a punt and outlaid a few dollars. Yep PPT came in and so did IOOF. Decided enough was enough so sold this morning at $7.10. Not a bad outcome with a gain of $6.4k plus an 18cff dividend. Don't think I'll try it again though.

I got a bit nervous and sold in may at $6.27.
Made a healthy profit,but you never know whats going to happen next in these protracted takeovers.
