And how about the bus driver here in WA who drove off with a young boy with his foot caught in the closed door and dragged him for a distance down the bitumen road. The youngster suffered some pretty serious injuries. The driver must have known he was caught but chose to drive on. He has now been sacked. I would have thought a more serious punishment should be melted out. Perhaps it will afetr the police finish their investigation.
Colour or creed do not come into this sort of incident.
 
What if the busdriver was distracted, he is on the opposite side of the bus, thinks the kid has got out and puts his indicator on then looks into his right hand rear view mirror to pull out into traffic.
I'm surprised he actually saw the kid at all, the bus drivers are under pressure to meet a schedule and sometimes kids can muck around.
I would like to hear all the facts before making an opinion.
Well that's my take on it and when I was a kid I did climb out of the back window (emergency exit) and ride the bumper bar, while hanging onto the pram hooks, so I actually do know kids can do some pretty stupid things.
That was on the school bus going home from Bunbury to Capel, funny at the time, not so much when I look back.
 
@sptrawler The TV report did say that the driver did have vision of the door and therefore should have been able to see this kid.
There was banging and shouting that he was in trouble, but the now unemployed driver choose not to take any notice.
It is now a police investigation
 
Oh that puts a completely different complexion on it, I just arrived home from overseas last night so didn't know the whole story, only what you had posted which didn't say the driver knew the boy was trapped.
 
Just another on a disturbing stream of violence against women.

So any violence is bad, but this is an armed man versus two defenceless people.

Fortunately he killed himself as well.

At the end of the day, what is the difference between vilifying someone over their race, sexuality, gender, disability or religion, or vilfying them over their physical appearance? Let's be honest, taking the pizz out of a handicapped person because of the way they look, whether it be physical deformity or an appearnace abnormality, who draws the line?
You can't vilify someone because they are black, Asian, homosexual etc, but you can if they are rich and you want display and highlight their physical or facial shortcomings.
What a hoot, the "Left Law", you can only vilify those who aren't on the list. Who is going to decide what is vilifycation and what is just a personal observation?

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus is drafting new hate speech laws that will impose criminal penalties for serious instances of vilification based on a person’s race, sexuality, gender, disability or religion.
Labor’s hate speech bill, which is still being finalised, will enhance the federal protections that exist for minority groups in Australia and stems from the government’s view that existing laws have not been enforced and are not effective.

It all depends on the definition of "serious" and "vilification" and whose opinion matters in the result.

Freedom of speech is becoming more eroded and while I believe disability should be left alone, criticism of religion should not be a criminal offence, it bears hallmarks of the Inquisition if it's implemented.

Isn't that subjective? I just wish they would get on with fixing $hit that needs fixing, rather than trying to make ar$holes behave themselves, how will people like the shovel make a living?
 
In the same vein, another incident of dragging someone down the road, Australia is certainly going through a strange phase ATM.
There is certainly an underlying pressure buildup happening, that seems to be manifesting itself in anger management issues IMO.

Man charged with murder after cyclist allegedly dragged under car in Perth suburbs

WA Police charge a man with murder over the death of a cyclist on Friday afternoon, as they probe the possibility of a property dispute between the two men.

WA Police have charged a man with murder over the death of a cyclist on Friday afternoon, as they probe a potential property dispute between the two parties.
The victim was riding on Lion Street in Carlisle at about 1:45pm when it's alleged he was approached by a 27-year-old man driving a grey Kia Carnival station sedan.

Police allege the cyclist was hit by the Kia, and dragged under the vehicle.

Following the incident, police cordoned off a wide area either side of the crash scene, with shoes, boxes and other items left scattered on the road.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday afternoon, WA Police Detective Inspector David Gorton said preliminary investigations suggested the man could have been dragged by the vehicle for "potentially in excess of 30 metres".

The cyclist was taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where he later died.

Detective Inspector Gorton said police had been called to the scene because of the "driving behaviour" of the man in the Kia Carnival, and said he was "apprehended quickly".

"That individual has now been charged with murder and will appear in court tomorrow," he said.
 
The place has gone feral of late.
The weapons of choice now seem to be knives.
Mine is a stout branch, a short piece of rope with a noose at the end.
Then justice will be served.
 
This sort of out of control behaviour is becoming more and more prevalent, the amount of cost or personal inconvenience that people could face because a flight disruptions could be huge.
People may be travelling for health reasons, may be going to catch a cruise, or a connecting flight, it really is just a reflection of the way our entitled society is heading IMO.

I don't understand how this happened neighbors in my street seperated, the wife felt threatened and took out an order police showed up and removed all firearms as they should.

How this bloke was left with his firearms is beyond me.
 
Saw this madman's daughter on the TV tonight.
Several help calls and warnings about him.
All to no avail. Some serious naval gazing has to take place now.
