It seems one can now be arrested for dressing the same as someone else and getting on a train.
Did these people commit any acts of violence ?
Who did they "offend" and why?
As far as I could see they were quiet and exercising their rights of lawful assembly and weren't bothering anyone.
If they were indigenous protestors would they get the same treatment?
Did police overstep the mark?
NSW premier condemns 'neo-Nazi demonstration' for 'importing hate' in latest gathering

"Inciting violence" means saying or doing things that urge other people to do acts of violence.
A "public act" includes any way of communicating to the public. It includes:
- Speaking, writing, displaying notices, playing recorded material, broadcasting;
- Social media and other electronic methods of communication;
- Any other acts the public can see. For example, actions, gestures, wearing or displaying clothing, signs, flags, emblems and insignia;
- Spreading or sending anything to the public.
A "public act" can happen on private land
Yea, you are a young Indian girl in a train carriage with 30 young blokes dressed in black with faces hidden and carrying white supremist banners.
And they are the good guys.
World has not gone that mad yet in Australia.
I think any single or even a few females if confronted by these types would be hoping for Railway police to show up or be dialling 000.Welp, she probably won't be sexually harassed
As a technicality, are those PT rules actual laws as imposed by government that automatically apply to any PT service regardless of what policies the operators may have?Purely public transport rules.
Next time hire a bus.
Good question. Probably a mix.As a technicality, are those PT rules actual laws as imposed by government that automatically apply to any PT service regardless of what policies the operators may have?
Are are they just the conditions of travel as imposed by the train operator and not laws as such?

NSW Legislation - Passenger Transport (General) Regulation 2017Good question. Probably a mix.
A person must not, in or on a public passenger vehicle or train or in a public area—
(a) behave in an offensive manner, or(b) use any offensive language, or(c) wilfully interfere with the comfort or safety of other persons, or(d) put any of the person’s feet on a seat, or(e) spit.
If only we had parliaments that are based on an iota of merit rather than 100% equity. Even the calling them Premiers or Prime Ministers is a misnomer these days; many of them preoccupied with victimhood and race baiting for votes and personal narcisism.It seems one can now be arrested for dressing the same as someone else and getting on a train.

Well I've got the farm, won't wear a skirt, won't play with dolls ( only real ones though), and definitely will not be partaking in guilt courses.If only we had parliaments that are based on an iota of merit rather than 100% equity. It's a wonder the school system hasn't mandated boys wear skirts, platt the hair on their Dolls during lunch break and take courses in male guilt for a future life of being a stepford husband.
We need to take back the farm
@wayneL if I dared to comment I feel that Mr Joe Blow would kick me off the forum.
Obviously, some over zealous bureaucrat with very little to do.NSW Government orders "offensive" rego plate to be surrendered.
So what if this person was Jewish and the plate was a "commemoration" of the event?
Politicians shooting from the hip are offensive imo.

It's okay, there are the beatitudes, esp.Funny how it is ok to be offensive to Christians, but completely out of bounds with any other culture or religion, we are certainly a strange country.
From todays SMH:
Scotty from Sunday school lays it on thick in final sermon
Scott Morrison presented many faces during his political career and his final parliamentary persona was that of preacher.www.smh.com.au
I wonder how it would go down if a muslim politician, was called e.g Mohamed from the mosque.
It wouldn't be acceptable, as many would see it is as being disrespectful, I certainly would see it that way.
Funny how it is o.k to be offensive, as long as it's the loonies having a go at a Christian.
I guess offensive innuendo, is dependent on who you are directing it at and who is delivering it .
I just find it funny how these self opinionated pratts in the media, tell everyone else how to behave, while they themselves carry on about people anyway they like.It's okay, there are the beatitudes, esp.
"11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
who needs self awareness when you can hire a lawyerI just find it funny how these self opinionated pratts in the media, tell everyone else how to behave, while they themselves carry on about people anyway they like.
It was like a while back when Lisa Wilkinson was complaining about the way the media was hounding her, I mean really, don't these people have any self awareness at all.
Is a lack of self appraisal, a pre requisite to be employed in the media?
Amenwho needs self awareness when you can hire a lawyer
