Of economic moats & castles

hello everyone,

i'm starting my research on australian stocks and the criteria are those that have some sort of (borrowing warren buffet's analogy) economic "moat" protecting their business "castle". stocks that i've started looking are: ASX, MBL, PPT & PMN so any discussion on them or similar companies are welcome as well =) thanks so much!

i think of ASX as a legalized monopoly =)
