For the tragics, it's live on ABC24.

Will the conservative side continue to sweep the land ?

This might be the forum's shortest ever political thread.

It looks like the CLP have it and I got some sleep.

So all the mud slinging over Newman and Abbott this week didn't help labor...

And wasn't Gillard told to stay away?

The outgoing Chief Minister Paul Henderson is giving his concession speech in front of a background that is mostly blue and with references to The Henderson Team. There's no mention of Labor on it at all.

The election was won for the CLP in the bush, so it looks like federal issues wern't a big player.

I'm sure that's what Gillard and her labor MPs will be telling us...

And labor didn't have "labor" on their advertising (they didn't in Qld either), but someone made sure their name was up there. Found this pic on an ABC article:

Some modifications to the No Dogs Allowed sign came to mind.

Kerry O'Brien and Antony Green I think were very happy to get to the end of that one.

I might have to draw the line myself at the ACT election, unless I'm chasing a little more sleep.

Convincing win to the CLP just leaves SA with a Labor state government although Barnett in WA might have a fight on his hands in the looming WA election.

Five down and four to go including The Feds.
SA., Tassie, Canberra and the Feds. The domino affect is in full swing.
I wonder why IFocus? How can that be?

Why were all the Labor state governments voted in for so long............for the answer look at the front bench of the WA Coalition government.

Wishful thinking, IF - this from a recent Morgan Poll:

WESTERN AUSTRALIA: L-NP would win a State Election Easily

2PP: L-NP 60%, down 2.5% since a Morgan Poll in May 2012) cf. ALP (40.0%, up 2.5%).

Primary vote: L-NP (47.5%, down 6%), WA Nationals (3.5%, unchanged), ALP (31%, up 1.5%), Greens (7%, up 1%), Independents/ Others (11%, up 3.5%).

Preferred Premier (Colin Barnett v Mark McGowan): Mr. Barnett (52.5%, down 1.5%); Mr. McGowan (27%, up 0.5%); Other/ Neither (20.5%, up 1%). Lead to Mr. Barnett: 25.5%.
