NSW - The state's power sell off

I heard one of the most moronic things have ever heard a politician say

Roosenthal saying that he had secured a deal that meant NSW taxpayers would never have to pay for future generating capacity.

Well who the hell should pay?? For the power WE use.

They sold of the family furniture in an improper firesale.

very very stupid politically, as power prices will rise steadily anyway, and Labor will cop the blame for eternity.

Yes , I know about AAA credit ratings

couple that with selling off the lotteries cash cow, hard to know what to say - words just don't seem to be enough

Almost funny if it wasn’t so sad.

To live the lives we want we should be looking at leaner Government, less corruption and I suspect higher taxes, as all the stupid sales prove State has funds problems and definitely lack of prudent governance skills.

Now the State "farm" and most of the "machinery" is almost all sold off.

All that "moolah" from the fire-sales rolling in to the pockets of dim-witted pollies over the years seems to be magically evaporating.

What can they sell after the farm?

*ding*

The sheeple??

Baa-aa, humbug!

NSW Treasurer Eric Roozendaal is a complete and utter wanker that should be run out of the state.

Someone should wipe that stupid grin off the ****ing nerd's face.

The prick will retire at the next election when NSW Labor lose in a landslide and we the taxpayers will have to pay the moron's pension for the rest of his life.

I am really pissed off about this.:mad::mad:

That and the labor cocks will probably use most of the money to fund their failed election when it occurs.. or spend it on some other unwanted garbage in the meanwhile..

i really want to know why this wasnt blocked.

The power stations, transmission lines, sub-stations and distribution lines will be around for a long time to come no matter who owns them.

But the cash raised from a sale will almost certainly be blown on something of short term value (at best) and be a distant memory in a few years at most.

Selling assets - it's just another way of running a deficit by drawing down on past investment rather than borrowing as such. Only a fool would do that on an ongoing basis... :2twocents
