Ever seen the Manchurian candidate where they play with the CCTV?
 
Also, I have no problem if a government uses my information for the greater good. ie reduce crime, increase productivity, correctly target benefits etc. If we choose to use their services, they should be able to streamline them.
Good points. But government isn't as transparent like say a business is. The abuse issue is a worry.

We would probably be better off trying to get the govt to have some sort of audit/check system as opposed to trying to get them to ditch something (which potentially could be very good)

I wonder how the government would feel if we actually insisted they be accountable for something! You never know, we might be able to get it to spill over to important things too, like budgets, election promises and advertising etc!

The government already does exactly what it promises to do when it says it will spend our tax money wisely. Doesn't it?

They never make mistakes, either by incompetence or evil intent. Do they? Sure, let's give them grand sweeping new powers...???

I have never heard of CrimTrac before and certainly gave no consent for them to hold or access my photograph.

I would like to sue. How do I proceed?
