With NCM out of the picture, NST and EVN will be the two biggest Australian gold miners on the ASX, but for how long? With further M&A in the winds, who is going to try and pick up either of these companies on the relative cheap?
Better plan may be for NST and EVN to start talking and combine their operations to take NCMs position as Australia's biggest gold company and stay out of the hands of those nasty Americans and Canadians stealing our assets.
Will end up having about 90Moz resources and 40Moz reserves and some copper.
Having said that, I own both, so it might be better if they get taken over at a 100% premium...
