Sorry mate, but this is like calling a monaro a supercar. You've managed to choose her best photo, and any fit, tanned girl with sunnies looks great. $4k a night, what has the world come to?

You cant really judge the worth of a supercar untill you drive it;)

Nice one Gav. You natural guys look much healthier.

Check this video out. A dude gets trapped under an avalanche and it is captured by his head cam. It is INTENSE listening to the guy breathing.

Amazing footage shows skier buried in avalanche

DRAMATIC footage showing the terrifying moment a skier was buried in an Alaskan avalanche has been posted on the internet.

The amazing video, taken from the skier’s helmet camera, shows him take off down the slope before being swept up and buried in the avalanche.

Once the avalanche stops the screen turns a blue-white colour, as the skier lies trapped underneath the snow.

Trapped and cut-off from the world, the skier becomes increasingly panicked, evident in the frequency and intensity of his breathing.

He had a breathing apparatus attached to his backpack but struggled to get the mouthpiece in the right position.

As the skier tries to swallow and breathe he makes a whimpering noise. His moans turn into cries of excitement and relived laughter when he hears voices from above.

The footage then shows his rescuers digging him out of the snow, with his excitement continuing to grow.

The skier was rescued in less than five minutes, aided by the fact he was with people experienced in avalanche rescue and, luckily, his right glove had fallen off his hand before he came to a complete rest.

The fellow skier who posted the video on the internet, who wants to be known as Chappy, described the rescue as miraculous and said the skier was lucky to be rescued so quickly.

“To be unburied in only four and a half minutes is miraculous if you have any understanding of being caught in an avalanche and what it takes to be found,” Chappy said.

"It also shows why you should always be going with people trained in avalanche rescue and first aid."

The skier escaped without serious injury.

The incident took place in Haines, Alaska in April last year, according to information posted alongside the video.

WOW! Mind boggling chain of events!

CCTV footage of baby's miracle escape after train slammed into pram at Ashburton station released

# October 16, 2009 3:48PM

CCTV footage of a baby's miracle escape when a pram was slammed by a peak-hour train has been released.

Witnesses fearing the worst were stunned when the six-month-boy was hauled from the tracks with little more than a bump on his head.

The near-miss happened at Ashburton station as a city-bound train pulled into the station just after 4pm yesterday.

The baby was strapped into a three-wheeler pram that rolled forward and toppled on to the tracks.

The pram was carried 30m as the desperate driver tried to pull up the 250 tonne train. It ploughed into the pram at about 35km/h, dragging the child along beneath the front carriage.

Witnesses watched in horror, fearing the baby had no hope.

But he was safely back in his mother's arms when ambulance officers arrived minutes later.

LOL! At the start of that video I thought "How cute, I want one of those parrots..."

But I've changed my mind!

This guy has some crazy skills. Backflipping, spinning, cart wheeling and bouncing all over the place! With a 1000years of training I still would not be able to do half of it.

Crazy!

I wonder what made him start doing this... Did he wake up one morning and think "hmmm, I wanna do back flips off buildings"?

This is a bio I found of Damien Walters.

More of his clips at his youtube page.

Damien Gareth Walters
(born April 6, 1982), from Derby, United Kingdom is a professional stuntman, gymnastics coach and free runner.

He has competed for Great Britain in tumbling, and at his peak, was ranked 4th in the world, winning the European and world championships with the team.. He said his first move was a frontflip on his grass when he was 4 or 5, which he subsequently failed, and so his mother took him to train in gymnastics. He has had over 20 years training experience, and currently trains for about 3-4 hours each day.

Damien's tumbling and gymnastics skills mean that many free running moves come naturally to him, and he was first noticed in the community after releasing his 2007 showreel, which featured many free running inspired moves. This video got him scouted by Jackie Chan's stunt agent, and he has now given up on gymnastics to persue a career being a stuntman, where he is a part of a core group of stuntmen who work for Brad Allan, the first non-asian member of Jackie Chan's stunt team.

This sort of stuff is quite fascinating to me. I am about as flexible as a lamp post so couldnt see myself doing it in a million years but it is quite incredible to watch. It seems to be a growing fad overseas and there are some crazy vids out there. Check out Parkour and Free Running. You'll notice it appearing in quite a few films. Quite incredible what the human body can achieve but it must be a killer on your joints. The video on the bottom of the first page of this thread "ninja for hire" is the same stuff. Crazy skills.

Would be good to see the big man get serious with his cricket! With those fast twitch muscles he should be able to send down some serious thunderbolts!

Usain Bolt shows off his cricket skills during charity match

From correspondents in Kingston, Jamaica
October 20, 2009

THE world's fastest man has proved his prowess with leather and willow, hitting West Indies captain Chris Gayle for a straight six before clean bowling his compatriot.
Bolt revealed his love for cricket at the 2008 Beijing Olympics when he told reporters he was a huge fan of former Australian opener Matthew Hayden.

The 100m and 200m world record holder - captaining a Trelawny All Stars XI - lost the toss and his team was sent in to bat.

In his brief innings, Bolt brought the crowd to their feet despite only making 13 runs off 10 deliveries, hitting a four before hitting Gayle back over his head for six as Trelawny reached 6-124 off 15 overs.

With his team defending the modest total, Bolt made more of an impact with the ball as he ambled in off a long run up and bounced the big-hitting Gayle with his first delivery.

"I told Chris to watch out I was going to give him one but he didn't really believe it," Bolt said.

Commuter's mad dash to escape runaway bus

October 21, 2009 07:45am

DRAMATIC video footage has captured a runaway bus ploughing through a Russian city, crushing cars and nearly running a pedestrian over.

Witnesses reported seeing passengers jump from the bus as it hurtled through the busy streets of Perm - in central Russia - destroying cars in its path and nearly hitting pedestrians, Sky News reports.

The out-of-control bus left 19 crushed cars in its wake and injured four people.

The video footage shows one commuter’s brush with death when the bus misses him by inches as he crosses a pedestrian crossing.

The businessman is seen jogging up to the crossing, where he begins to cross in front of several cars which have stopped at the traffic lights.

The footage then shows him quickening his pace when he first spots the speeding bus approaching the lights.

But in a split second, his relaxed jog turns into a panic-fuelled dash for the other side when he realises the speeding bus had no intention of stopping.

Awww!

This woman in the video found this lion injured in the forest ready to die.

She took the lion with her and nursed the lion back to health. When the lion was better, she made arrangements with a zoo to take the lion and give it a new and happy home.

This video was taken when the woman after some time went to visit the lion to see how he was doing.

Watch the lion's reaction when he sees her!

It's truly amazing!!!

How can one person have so much talent?! Makes me sick...

I was thinking this guy was pretty cool! That first leap and to keep it going is pretty good!

Then I came across this guy! I remember the cuts, bruisers and nut clangers from just jumping over logs as a youngster. This guys must have had some crazy stacks learning these tricks!

I've had a hole in one, a lot better then that one too.

Nice one! Was it a sweetly struck shot or was it a trickster like Vijay's.

My old boss got one. Rolled along the ground the whole way and went straight in. He also got a hatrick in cricket too. He was a shocking sportsman but had the luck it seems.
