I was hoping you could help here, I did a quick search but was unable to find any recent information over the last 3-4 years.
I am planning to manage funds on behalf of my mother in law, she is a non-resident for tax purposes (Taiwan) but has an Australian address and bank accounts (she has investment properties) in Australia. However, does not have a Permanent Residence or Citizen of Australia.
Rather than invest the funds under my personal name (I am on the highest PAYG tax bracket) it is preferred to invest under her name.
Does anyone know of any Australian brokers that cater for non-residents? Or is IB my only option.
I am only looking to invest in Australian equities mainly ASX300.
