So im new and would appreciate some help,where do you go to research companys that are not yet listed on the stock market but are about to be? I know about announcments but how would i know which ones to look for without knowing the companys code,thanks.

Try a search on the internet for the Company's name, then you might be able to get a hold of a prospectus, detailing the Company for initial subscribers. The ASX website usually list upcoming floats.
Even try Yahoo! Finance.
