MT4 Time Frames

Hello All
Some questions about MT4. 1. Can I change the displayed date /time at the bottom of the chart to the Australian time 2. If not, what country are the times displayed for. Is it UK or USA. Thank you

Yes its confusing . Many Brokers use NY close time . ie 00:00 is 5pm NY time . 21:00 is 2:00pm NY
I had to convert the times and write them on my white board , I fill my trading log in local time

Thanks Pchivers. I went to the site and went to download it but AVG notified me there was a "Mal" on the site and prevented the download. Do you have the EA and did you experience the same issue. cheers

I've being using CTA across prior versions and I have never had an issue.
I've contacted Randy (CTA site owner) and he said that this is addressed as issue 15 at http://www.mt4timeaxis.com/troubleshooting.html
Basically the CTA installer is being flagged as a false positive by some AV programs.
The troubleshooting page suggests several ways of getting CTA onto your PC.
It's not in Randy's interests to distribute viruses, so everything is safe. Trust me ;-)
And I would NOT be without CTA. Using the broker's server's timezone is ridiculous.

ok thanks for your effort mate. I will down load it and see if it is good. I only do this when they offer a "money back guarantee" as I like to try a few different things. Will let you know how it goes.

For crying out loud. I had to eventually uninstall AVG and thought all was going well with the install then Windows Defender picked up a virus with the download. Does this guy want to sell his EA or not. Most certainly not having a go at you pchivers at all. The largest virus software in the world AVG then the windows Defender stops this program being installed...I can only conclude he is 100% dodgy or he would have addressed this issue. I would be careful recommending this persons product. cheers

I am the creator of CustomTimeAxis,
once again, so sorry for the problems you're having w/CTA.
if not for the goodwill of pchivers letting me know about your issues w/CTA and this thread I would not even be aware that this was apparently still going on w/people trying to download and install it. So many thanks for his kind gestures on this.
I believe I've also responded to your email when you contacted me directly referencing #15 on my "Troubleshooting" link http://www.mt4timeaxis.com/troubleshooting.html on my site that deals with this and the workaround I've provided for it for the specific file downloads so they can be individually scanned so customers could be assured what they're installing is clean. Have you done this?
Believe me, I am annoyed more than ANYONE that for some reason various security softwares are interpreting the autoinstaller I'm using as having some type of malware because, yes, this does cost me sales I'm sure. But I assure you, I have not put anything in the file to taint it.
Until I have time to once again to delve into this matter, please note the workaround I've provided and don't hesitate to contact me direct w/any other help you may need. You should already have my email but once again it's support@mt4timeaxis.com
