#MeToo

The biggest conversation of denial today is amongst those on the right who are resolutely defending the indefensible. Start with Donald Trump. Go to Brett Kavanaugh.

As long as allegations are backed up by evidence then that's fine.

Character assassination without proving it in a court of law is not acceptable, and there should be laws against making a false complaint and they should be enforced.

Blind acceptance of allegations is as damaging to our society as are the real offenders going free.

Absolutely. Which makes a it all the more compelling to have an investigation that examines the veracity of the 20 odd allegations of sexual misconduct that Donald Trump has notched up and his attempts to call each and every person a liar.

It gets even more interesting of course when the Liar In Chief denies consensual sexual relationships, then pays the people hush money then changes his mind, then.. .. Who cares ! Donald Trump is just a lying douche.
It is so interesting that even when a sexual assailant boasts about his sexual behaviour with others and is taped doing so... he can still deny his little heart out.
Because in this day and age you just have to keep on denying.

Recording controversy and second 2016 presidential debate

Billy Bush was recorded having "an extremely lewd conversation about women" with Trump in 2005.
Two days before the second 2016 presidential debate, the 2005 Access Hollywood tape was released, which records Trump having "an extremely lewd conversation about women" in which he described being able to kiss and grope women because he was "a star": "You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful—I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it, you can do anything ... grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."[47] Many attorneys and media commentators have said that Trump's statements described sexual assault.[c]

On October 7, Trump released a video statement in which he stated, "I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize." He called the development a distraction and attempted to deflect attention to the Clintons, and in particular sexual assault scandals involving Bill Clinton. Republican critics called on him to withdraw from the presidential race.[47]

Obviously the next cab off the rank.

I actually think this is starting to get some traction for women, my wife and I were having a coffee and there was a group of 15-17 year olds in the cafe, when we left my wife commented on how the young blokes were avoiding contact with the girls in the group.
Times they are a changing, and I don't think women will like where they end up, just my opinion.

It will turn into "us against them", the new gender wars.
Yes, obviously the plan is to get women into paid work the same as men, so they have super to help fund their retirement.
I don't think the future will be the woman at home looking after the kids, it will be whoever has earning ability in the family unit, will work and the Government will facilitate it.
Like I said interesting times, I have heard the quote " a husband isn't a superannuation plan" a lot recently, it would indicate that the emphasis will be on them.
Maybe this should move over to the social engineering thread.

Already been in play for generation Y.

These women are single into their mid thirties and deferring pregnancy. Marriage and cohabitation is not a high priority unless a superdupa male, thawed from stasis comes along. The males are more inclined to their mates than sacrificing their fancy free lifestyles for the complication of a stymieing female partner.

The dissatisfaction with the self centered sensitive, morally moribund X gen males means Grandad's are the new preferred goto males to imbed masculine traits in (deliberately single) X gen female's boy offspring. You'd think the failure of baby boomers to bring up a whole generation with family values would be a put off, but apparently it's the best of a worst case scenario.:D

I'm guessing the three generation rule will reset things, if Islam hasn't wiped out western culture in the meantime.

Misandry exists but women are more tactful when it comes to exacting revenge.

See how the males just give up and rollover

Maybe life wouldn't be so "scary" if the "men" stop sleeping around, stop picking up women at parties for quickies.

Maybe date them first. Only hit the home run after a serious relationship had established.

But sure, what has the world come to when real men can't just grab women they like; when they can't differentiate between no or a yes. Dangerous times.

So it's hard to prove either way.

Maybe everyone should be wired up to secret recorders in the event anything untoward happens.

Nowadays if a person carry a smart phone or watch, it already automatically record all audio and visual. That and the GPS tracking mean that if Google and Apple would stop pretending they're not spying on their users... problem solved.
