Merry Christmas 2014

It is a shame we have to tolerate some uncouth people on this thread who trip over themselves by bringing in nasty politics and personal derogatory remarks during this festive season.

They just can't help themselves.

They are lower than a rattle snakes belly.

Hmm...

I think the bit you bolded refers to the defamation stuff Joe is currently dealing with as he mentioned up thread.

I had the right arm fasts steaming in this afternoon. Backyard cricket at its finest. Dropped a sitter when I was keeping because I was having a debate with my four year old niece (at first slip) about what time was bedtime...I think the dark clouds confused her into thinking it was bedtime.

Noco, PB was referring to two defamation claims I am currently defending that I mentioned earlier in the thread.

On a personal level it's a very difficult time for me at the moment. However, I am determined to do what is right, and that is defend the right of ASF members to engage in lawful speech, even if it is detrimental to someone's business.

Like all things, eventually this too shall pass. However, it may take some time as the legal system moves very slowly. As my lawyer says, "the process is the punishment."

Sorry Joe, I was not ware of those two defamation claims you are having to deal with.

I interrupted it as a general statement about some of the remarks made on this thread particularly at Xmas time.

No worries Noco. It was all a bit of a misunderstanding. However, I am very grateful for the support of the ASF community. It makes standing up to bullies easier when I know that those here at ASF are behind me. It gives the struggle a little more meaning, and will make the eventual victory just that little bit sweeter.

Let me - again - take this as an opportunity to ask the guests (and members who haven't yet done so) to vote ASF #1 in the Stockies. It only takes a mouse click or two at http://www.thebull.com.au/the_stockies/forums.html

The best thing about Christmas being over is that there will be the relief of ten and a half months of being able to shop without being assaulted by bastardised, syrupy Christmas carols and songs.

Unbelievably, ABC radio still plays Bing Crosby singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas", "The Little Drummer Boy" and sundry other ghastly stuff, plus every Christmas morning without fail bringing yet another repeat of Bing Crosby reciting "The Small One". Crosby recorded these way back in the 1940's!

Now there will just be the magazines sold with amazing new diets, guaranteed to remove all the weight gained by over-indulgence over Christmas, and the misery of all those who won't be able to pay their credit card bills when they arrive.

Never mind. It will all be the same again next year.

Julia, I am with you on this one.

I am pleased it is all over again for another year.

Some seem to find it an excuse to over indulge in the liquid amber and others seem, as you say, tend to over spend on some useless Xmas gifts.....Xmas is far too commercialized as far as I am concerned.

But then again, it makes the money go around.

Ebenezer is that you?
