LOL, that's why I said "almost zero chance...", you won't find me pulling a John Howard*
: Anything can happen in boxing (except that is, Wladimir klitschko producing a worthy heavyweight fight), that's the beauty of the pugilistic art. Heck, that's why I wished I had seen Julian jackson 'live'.
However, IMHO, I respectfully disagree that JMM and Manny have similar styles. JMM's the classic counter-puncher and Manny is the very epitome of an aggressor. Also, while (I believe) JMM's skills have deteriorated, Manny's is (scarily) improving to the point that if they were ever to meet again (unlikely), JMM would get the worst beating of his life.
The fights were very close and rightly contested between fans of the two warriors but bear in mind that Manny dropped JMM four times. It's a testament to JMM's toughness that he wasn't KO'd. And that was pre-right hook Manny, imagine what he would do now with both that and 'Manila Ice'
Floyd did indeed school JMM but that was because it was a case of the younger, bigger, stronger, faster counter-puncher fighting an older, smaller, weaker, slower counter-puncher. He had all the time in the world to set up his shots. Floyd's not going to have such an easy time under Manny's sustained pressure. Hell, he had trouble with Zab 'Chicken Dance' Judah tagging him, and Manny has virtually the same speed, more pop, throws punches in bunches AND more importantly, won't self-implode at the first sign of trouble.
matty 2.0 - yup, hence my off-colour joke about him. I detest the guy.
