here's a good one doing the rounds at the moment about elites and global plans and armageddon. my old man is into this stuff and gets newsgroup feeds etc.

I don't want to romanticize Russia, not at all. But one must recognize certain things about Russian imperialism as contrasted to Western imperialism. Western imperialism – driven by banking elites – has economic exploitation as its primary objective. Russian imperialism – driven by national interests – has national security as its primary objective. While Western colonies, aka client states, are always poorer than the West, the Eastern European satellite nations typically had a higher standard of living than Russia itself during the Soviet era. Russia was more concerned with having a stable buffer against the West, than it was with robbing the satellites of their assets.

This is interesting because I think human nature is ultimately the same across the planet.

My take on the human is that we are selfish, wasteful, vengeful, vein, ....add in all the other negative attributes that assist in survival, and we act accordingly.

It's just that our environment has forced us to act in different ways to achieve the same aim.

Me, me, me!!!

Life in some countries is fruitful with abundant resourses and no conflict.

Life in other countries is desperate with overpopulation, bad climate, infertile earth, etc ...

Different social systems evolve to control the population living in these environments.

That is the difference, imo.

Last night’s 4-Corners went over conspiracy theory in bombing London underground train and the bus. They spent most of the time telling the conspiracy part and last minute or so to mention it was all not true and fabricated.

Taking into account how memory works, this was published as fantastic conspiracy reinforcement tool.

And authorities seem powerless to stop it.

Moret is not nuts - she is very clever and manipulative and an exceptional showwoman as long as she never has a single person in the audience who actually knows anything about radiation, diabetes, uranium, or Moret -

I want you to know more about Moret. She claims to be a nuclear scientist - well, she did work with nuclear scientists, or nearby to nuclear scientists once - looks like she was basically a computer tech in the computer lab.

Hoax video of Michael Jackson creates online stir

A hoax video purportedly showing Michael Jackson emerging from a coroner's van was an experiment aimed at showing how quickly misinformation and conspiracy theories can race across the internet, German broadcaster RTL said on Tuesday.

The video was posted by RTL on YouTube for a single day a week ago and received 880,000 hits. The broadcaster has since removed the video from YouTube, but it has been picked up by other web sites around the world.

"We wanted to show how easily users can be manipulated on the internet with hoax videos," spokesman Heike Schultz of Cologne-based RTL told The Associated Press.

"Therefore, we created this video of Michael Jackson being alive, even though everybody knows by now that he is dead - and the response was breathtaking."

Jackson died June 25 in Los Angeles.

The video - posted under an "anonymous source" - shows a coroner's van entering what seems like a parking garage and the King of Pop getting out of the back with another person. The lighting is bad, the sound muffled and the footage appears amateurish.

"Unfortunately, many people believed it was true," Schultz said. "Even though we tried to create the video in a way that every normal user can see right away that it is a fake."

He said the video was shot near Cologne - "definitely not in the US" The van in the video had the word "CORONER" printed in English, suggesting it had been recorded in America.

RTL admitted to the hoax in an Aug 26 report on its daily news show Explosiv.

Hoaxes and rumours commonly spread like wildfire on the internet. Videos of flying saucers and impossible stunts routinely are among the most-viewed on video-sharing sites, though purported evidence of the deceased being alive is less common than false rumours of someone's death.

The rise of Twitter and its real-time microblogging has quickened the pace. American actor Patrick Swayze, who is battling pancreatic cancer, had to declare that he is still alive this year after thousands of Twitter users spread news that he was dead. Actor Jeff Goldblum had to do the same.

Interesting. The thread lay dormant for a year, and when someone posts to it - unrelated to DU, someone joins and makes just one post...

I read that article by the way - what was the conspiracy? I thought it was very well known the impact of DU dust on soldiers?

According to Commsecs chief analyst theres a 25% chance of a 10-15% correction...keeping this on topic...lady gaga: man, woman or hybrid?
